Malcolm recently played at our Aunts Funeral, what a talent he has, he was outstanding to say the least and performed from the start until the very end.
he was kind, polite and ensured that the day went smoothly for our family, everyone was Amazed by him.

Malcolm was brilliant, from the first email conversation right through to our wedding day. We kept it a surprise for our guests that we had Malcolm playing, so they were blown away when they were greeted by the bagpipes. Emotions ran high walking down the aisle to the Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond, the atmosphere during the afternoon was beautiful, everyone had goosebumps. Not only was Malcolm the most perfect piper we could have asked for, but he was incredibly kind and professional to work with, a true gentleman.

Malcolm absolutely blue away my mind away when he came and played the bagpipes at my 80th birthday on Sunday 12th June, my birthday being on the 13th, Malcolm was the complete professional, extremely obliging and very talented, nothing was too much trouble for him, anyone who would like a piper for any special occasion I would have no hesitaion in recommending Malcolm Smith,

Malcolm played at my Dad's funeral recently and as a family, we cannot thank him enough for his beautiful performances that brought a lot of comfort on a difficult day. On arriving at the crematorium the sound of the bagpipes melted our hearts and also brought us joy as we know it's what Dad would have wanted and that his final moments were surrounded by his family and his love of Irish music on the bagpipes. Malcolm looked splendid in his attire (even wore Green as per our request) and nothing was too much trouble for him, every request was met without hesitation. A massive thank you to Malcolm for giving my Dad a splendid send off, you are amazing.

My brother recently died in Australia, and my remaining brother and I couldn't attend his funeral, as like so many other people during these troubled times. We returned to our brother's birth-place, in Lancashire, where there is a family vault, laid flowers and asked Malcolm to play two of my brother's favourite tunes. It was a most moving moment, not just because of the pipes but because of the kindness shown to us both by the piper himself. Although it was a brief ceremony, it was conducted with dignity and consideration.

This gentleman helped us give my auntie a beautiful send off today. Not only did he stand in the pooring rain whilst playing perfectly, he also took time out to meet and console my family. He could have waited indoors for the hearse to arrive but he chose to play to my Aunties neighbours whilst we waited. He was the last to leave my aunties home yet managed to be the 1st to arrive at the crematorium to play us in. I left the choice of music in his capable hands and im so glad i did, he had the professional ability to match the right tune to the present mood. I would strongly recommend Malcolm for any event. Unfortunately he is unavailable to play on the date of our wedding, i might just have to reschedule the date to ensure he can attend ?. Thank you Malcolm (true gentleman)

We contacted Malcolm to play my dad on his final journey and can’t recommend him enough. From the first call he was really easy to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. We arranged for 4 songs to be played. Malcolm arrived 30mins early, walked the route my dad would be taking. Then stood and played for 20 mins before the hearse arrived. His professionalism made what has been the hardest day of mine and my family’s life more bearable and the send off he helped us give my dad was one he would of been proud of. I can’t thank you enough.

Malcolm played at my sons funeral. His service was first class from start to finish. A true professional. My son was from Scotland living in Blackpool so Malcolm many thanks for bringing a little bit of home to a very sad day.

Malcolm kindly played the pipes for the funeral of my friend in Burscough today. Excellent song selection and sounded lovely. Would definitely recommend.
