Shimmer Strings were fantastic at our wedding, performing during our drinks reception and wedding breakfast. Communication was excellent in the lead-up to the event, and on the day our guests loved the mix of classical pieces, modern covers, and incredible movie scores.

We received so many compliments from our guests, and their music created the perfect atmosphere. We would 100% book them again.

Shimmer Strings were soooo good! We used them for our songs during the ceremony and then they played for a few hours during cocktails. They play a mix of classical and modern music which everyone loved. They brought such an incredible atmosphere to the day. I truly & highly recommend!!

Wow ! Shimmer Strings played at our wedding at Dumbleton Hall Hotel on 30 September 2022 and they were incredible. My wife walked into the ceremony to Canon in D and it was played so so beautifully! Shimmer Strings played during the ceremony aiding the choir in our hymns, signing the register songs and walk out songs! They continued to play at our drinks reception and the playlist was insane, especially hearing pop songs on strings! Two extremely talented individuals ! A lot of our guests commented on how good they were and what great songs they played. Throughout the build up to the wedding Rebecca was extremely responsive and we even had a brief video call to put our mind at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. Turned up punctually and generally brilliant to deal with. Could not recommend enough - exceptional !!

Very professional string duo, played beautifully throughout or wedding ceremony and reception drinks. Our guests were so impressed and are still complementing us on our live musicians.

Shimmer Strings performed at our wedding ceremony and reception. They were brilliant at accommodating our song requests and were so enthusiastic and positive throughout the whole process. They moved between the venues with no fuss and despite the rain, their musical accompaniment to our big day was very special and we would highly recommend as an alternative to a string quartet.

I asked Shimmer Strings to play as a surprise for when my wife walked down the aisle, and they were absolutely brilliant and sounded beautiful. Having the piece of music playing live rather than from my iPhone was so much better and clearer than I had thought, and then they played at the reception drinks and again played beautifully with great feedback from alot of the guests. We booked Shimmer Strings for a formal RAF dinner under the wings of Concorde at British Aerospace, Bristol. They were extremely friendly from the off, and were very easy to contact and helpful in response; I had to plan the evening carefully due to its formal nature. They were very flexible and allowed me to request a couple of unique and specific pieces to play. They were very punctual and polite, and very well dressed, and the sound and music they produced on the night was absolutely superb. They performed to the highest standard and I will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in future, and will also look to potentially rebook them at future events where possible. Thank You.

We were so pleased with the rShimmer Strings. Rebecca's communication leading up to the wedding was fantastic and they were so flexible when our timings changed (more than once) . We were looking for a Cello and Violin player to join us on our latest EP recording and were very fortunate to have Shimmer Strings join us. They were very professional, reliable and friendly. As a dark rock band we needed musicians who could appreciate our style of music and that could recognise, interpret and enhance the atmospheric string elements that we required, which they both did exceptionally. We are all so happy with how the tracks sound, the strings have taken it to another level and captured the emotional content so well. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a committed and hardworking duo and we look forward to working with Rebecca and Julianne again in the near future!

Saw Shimmer Strings recently at the Cock & Magpie in Bewdley and they played a lovely secection of music with a few surprise tunes as well.
