From New Zealand and of Māori descent, now living in London for nearly 20 years, Sol Cooper is a smooth vocalist and talented musician who is available to perform at your venue or event.

Covering most genres and classics from Wicked Game to Wandering Eye, Sol is unique and deliberately pushes the boundaries of where a cover artist goes.

An ideal setting would be a wedding lunch or dinner, Sunday lunch or a chilled evening. His vocals are like butter and his style will massage your ears.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

Performance space of 2M x 2M. 2 x power sockets. 1 x jack out lead to in-house mixer. 1 x parking space if travelling by car.


Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, I use a Spark Edge amp, which has 4 x inputs and 2 x outputs, Shure 58 mic, Fender Telecaster and Sonoran (Electro/acoustic) and a Boss RCT 505-Mk2 Loop station


What information do you require about a venue?

The full address, details of whom to invoice and payment terms, are refreshments and food included. Is there a green room or somewhere private and safe to leave belongings, warm up vocals etc. Is there a sound man on-site?

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

My parents had a band and I started playing guitar at 3years old. I started writing songs at 19 and have a varied and vast experience of performing.


What's your favourite type of event to play at?

Chilled events, weddings, and celebrations.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I aim to arrive 2 hours early to set up and warm up. I play 2 x 60 mins sets with a 15 min break between, depending on the crowd and how I see it going. I may work through the break if we’re building a good atmosphere.


Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes


Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I will liaise with clients prior and discuss any specific song requests.
