Thank you so so much! That was simply incredible - it is hard to put into words just how special it was to hear live music of such calibrate, enthusiasm and skill. It was incredible to be a part of the songs, dancing along and - as an aside - simply amazing to have you as a familiar face. Really brought back the happiest of memories. We’ve been receiving messages in capital letters from friends saying ‘THE BAND WAS AMAZING’. We’re all quite a musical bunch and lots of us have all attended quite a few weddings now so that’s a huge compliment. Please thank the band for learning the Lianne le havas song. We had to keep double checking the band hadn’t been replaced by Lianne le havas herself - such a magical way to start the evening.

Now just have to dream up some other excuse to hire you guys… a 33rd birthday party?!

I just wanted to thank you so so much for 13th August. You, the jazz trio and the band were just outstanding! I had so, so many compliments from our guests about how fantastic you were, and it’s a testament to you that the dancefloor was packed while the band was playing.

Despite slight logistical challenges, it all just went so well. I also loved hearing the excerpt from Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto after we were married - it was really really special.

You were all just amazing, phenomenal, fantastic and you contributed to a brilliant date.

I Keep meaning to ring - which I will - but just wanted to say you guys on sat were absolutely fab - the jazz was lovely - I looked back a few times and it was just magical to see - and the band was amazing - all and sundry said they hadn’t seen such a good band if not ever then def for a long long time - the amount of dancing proves the point too - my playing added to it all as well!!! We absolutely loved the SW Funk Collective (or Solar Funky Music - not sure what you’re actually called as your website has a different band name to LMM!) at our wedding. Not only did they do all the simple stuff perfectly (i.e. turning up on time and setting up efficiently with minimal invasion) but their performance was also fantastic. A truly cohesive group of talented musicians who not only do the Motown and funk classics of the 70s proud, but also curated a set list based on our preferences and learnt a song not normally in their repertoire because it mean’t something to us. Their performance was energetic and tight, and no effort was spared (including bringing and playing a slide whistle for just one song). I have already recommended them to several friends for their upcoming weddings.

These guys were absolutely fantastic, extremely professional in the booking process, could not have been more helpful! They set up independently and when the music started playing we all rushed in to the hall to start dancing. An infectious and electric atmosphere was created and we could not recommend them more highly! If you want a fabulous night of music that will get everybody moving, these guys are the ones for you!

South West Funk were fantastic - they absolutely got the mood and vibe of our wedding, and the dance floor was so busy when they played. They absolutely surpassed our expectations. We are delighted we booked then, and will happily look to rebook for any events.

I just wanted to let you know that South West Funk Collective were simply outstanding! They made our wedding so very good, the dance floor was buzzing all night.

We had had a lot of contact with Annika beforehand. She was very helpful indeed. We gave her a play list which she subsequently adapted afater liaising with us. The idea was to get people dancing. Annika brought a PA early so that we could play recorded music, set it up and showed us how to use it .
Later on the band arrived and set up while we were eating without disturbing anyone and played 2 hours of music with a 30 min break. It was an excellent performance. They had everyone dancing. The whole Wedding Celebration went well. Everyone had a great time and the band were a major contributor to that. They were superb.

Neil and his team did a great job and were very flexible and pleasant to deal with on the day. The acoustic set during the drinks was just the right tone for a sunny afternoon, the set in the evening was a great combination of real classics for all generations to enjoy and some more current stuff which really helps liven the party up and the singer was very good and engaging in terms of getting everyone involved. On a day when there was a lot going on Neil and his team arrived, set up and just got with the job which was much appreciated. Would certainly recommend them to anyone else looking for this type of music at their wedding.

Thank you again for such as fantastic evening for our big day. We had many a complimentary comment about your band and how you all really made up a fantastic evening for us!

You played at our friend’s wedding in December (Eddie and Jess) and I wanted to get in touch to say how brilliant you were. The choice of music was bang on and it looked like you guys were also having a blast which made it even more fun for us! You are the best band that I have seen live and we were definitely all gutted when the night came to an end.

The band played at our wedding at Sharpham House in Totnes. Right from the offset they had everyone dancing. I've had so many comments from guests asking me who the band were and saying the music was brilliant. Thanks to the band for making it such a special evening.
