Thank you to Henry, Shaun & co for what was an absolutely cracking night at our wedding last month. Perhaps a slightly bias opinion but they are by far the best wedding band I’ve seen and they have had plenty of positive comments since.

They absolutely bring the energy, have a great take on songs across all genres and also nailed the DJ set. Couldn’t recommend the guys enough!

What can we say about South West Band? Apparently not enough.

The lads were hands down the highlight of our wedding evening and absolutely smashed it from start to finish. Their back-to-back live band and DJ set had Wylam Brewery bouncing and the dance floor packed all night long – exactly the one big party we'd hoped for.

From first conversations with Henry to all the planning with Shaun, we knew we were in safe hands. They completely understood our vibe and somehow managed to bring it to life even better than we imagined.

They even humoured my slightly mad idea of joining them on stage for a song, and gave us not one but two first dances, as well as the perfect closing song.

The talent and energy from the whole band was unbelievable. We honestly can't thank you enough for the part you played in making our wedding so special.

We hired Southwest band last month for our wedding and they were amazing! Really brought such a great energy and great songs, and I’ve had so many guests comment during and after how fab they were. I found the guys super friendly, organised and professional.

South West Band were an absolute highlight of our wedding day! From the moment they started playing, the atmosphere completely came alive. The live music was incredible, the sax player added such a fun and unique touch, and the transition into the DJ set kept the energy going all night long.

What really stood out was how well they understood our taste in music, they got it spot on. Every song felt perfectly chosen, and the dance floor was never empty! So many of our guests have since told us how amazing they were and how much they enjoyed the music.

They didn’t just play at our wedding, they truly helped create the whole vibe of the day. We couldn’t recommend them more highly!

Southwest Band played 2 sets and hosted 2 DJ sets at our wedding in December 2025 at the Normans wedding venue near York (would also strongly recommend).

They were incredible - really strong on lots of genres but noughties and 90s rock in particular, and both the band and DJ handled requests really well! We had a lot of rave reviews about them from guests in the days following our special day. Strongly recommend!

We had South West Band at our wedding last summer. I can honestly say, if you’re looking for a band for your wedding, or any event for that matter, then look no further! These lads were absolutely incredible. We both knew that having a live band at our wedding was so important, so we definitely took our time in choosing one. We found South West Band on Instagram, and was instantly drawn to them with their awesome covers. They had the dance floor packed from start to finish, it really was as if our wedding had turned into our own private live gig. The atmosphere was unbelievable and everyone kept telling us how good the band were. Still to this day! Henry (band manager) was really easy to deal with on the run up to the day, really responsive and was happy to accommodate requests etc. The band also smashed our first dance which we were so grateful for! If you want energy, atmosphere and overall great live tunes, book South West Band today!

If we could give 6* we would! Told us they’d turn our wedding into a gig and we didn’t believe them - my God they certainly made that a reality! Played to the whole crowds likings, everything from Country to Pop to Ska to Metal - pleased everyone! Thanks SO much - from the Whitens!

We wanted something a little different for our wedding — not just the typical DJ playing the same songs on repeat. Since we absolutely love live music, we knew the band had to be something special. When I came across South West Band on Instagram, I was instantly blown away. From the first clip I saw, I knew they were the ones. Not only are they unbelievably talented, but they also know exactly how to get the crowd hyped and keep the dance floor full all night long.

Honestly, BOOK THEM — it’s an absolute must! They were one of the best parts of our entire day, and we have zero regrets. If we could do it all over again, we’d choose them in a heartbeat. 10/10, without a doubt!

SWB played our wedding at the Mowbray, with 2 band sets and DJ set between with a span of ours and our guests fav songs. They worked with us and our timings for the day. All our guests loved the sets and those that could were up on the dance floor - elder emo vibes all round. Hire these guys, you won't be sorry!!

Thanks to South West Band who were brilliant at our wedding, we had Henry doing the PA system during the reception and the 3 piece band and they created such a great atmosphere on the dance floor which was packed all night. Henry had great song suggestions and was great to work with both during the day and prior to the wedding getting everything organised. He was so relaxed with timings which was great on the day. THE PERFECT ADDITION TO OUR PERFECT DAY 🥁🎸

We were honestly bowled over with how amazing these guys were at our recent wedding! From the time of booking, communication from Henry and the guys was great, keeping us at ease and talking us through our options and reassuring any nerves that we had. They were super accommodating, adding another female vocalist for the evening at our request (and she was amazing!) As well as organising an acoustic singer for our wedding breakfast, who was again, phenomenal!

We did a first dance with a twist, mixing an old time classic into the modern day Drum and Bass mix and the guys went to the trouble of splicing these 2 tracks together to ensure that it blended well (and it went off when it did 🕺).

For the whole band sets. WOW. Absolutely smashed it out the park! Our guests were up dancing, the playlist was spot on and all of our guests have been commenting on how great the band and entertainment was.

I really can't recommend these guys enough, the perfect party atmosphere and reasonably priced! Worth every penny! Thank you so much guys! Just wish we could do it all again!

We hired South West Band for our wedding and oh my gosh, they absolutely smashed it!!!!! It was such a good party and we had SO many people telling us how unreal the guys were and how it was the best live band they’ve seen! They nailed it and the vibe was incredible. They brought the party to life and we cannot thank them enough. The band was the part of the day me and my partner were most looking forward to and they absolutely did not disappoint, it was better than we ever could have imagined. We booked South West Band for our wedding at The Normans in March and we honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. They were easily everyone’s favourite part of our wedding day! They were so easy to work with in the run up of our wedding day - very responsive to emails and provided really useful information re timings. Excellent on the day! Everyone was up on the dance floor having an AMAZING time :-) We can’t wait to see them play live again!

The band for our wedding was the one thing we took the longest to decide on and we are so glad we booked SWB. They were message responsive, prompt in setting up and played a set that clearly took on board the kind of music we said we like, whilst also using their experience to play tried and tested songs that get everybody up at weddings. Our guests, including those unable join in with dancing all commented that the band were really excellent. We booked South West Band for our wedding which happened a few weeks ago, and we could not recommend them enough!

They are true professionals, bringing so much fun to the stage, not to mention talent. Our wedding was on a Monday, but they made it feel like a Saturday night with the level of energy they brought to our evening party!

I'm also a singer, and they were gracious enough to let me join them for a few songs. It was so meaningful for me to be able to sing at my own wedding, and I'm endlessly grateful to them for the opportunity to do it!

Their repertoire is extensive, and they were really open to hearing our song requests / songs we'd rather not have, meaning that the playlist felt really tailored to our tastes. We also booked their DJ package, which I would highly recommend if you want something a little different to the bog standard wedding hits you usually hear!

They also played our first dance, a slowed down arrangement of a Lewis Capaldi track, which was just perfect.

If you want a fun, lively party band with an incredible setlist, South West Band are a no-brainer.

We had the pleasure of having South West Bands at our wedding. They are superb. Organised, reliable and most importantly got the party started and kept the dance floor full.

Southwest band were absolutely fantastic and the highlight of the evening. They learned a new requested song on the night, played all the pop punk hits and managed to get a few non-dancers up on the dancefloor. Henry the lead singer helped out when the venue’s sound system wasn’t working properly and went the extra mile to make sure my night was as stressless as possible. The whole band were very friendly too. If you’re a music fan, these are the ones to book.

South West Band played our wedding of 100 people and they were amazing. Dancefloor never emptied out and everyone was so impressed. The band worked with us to pick a setlist that worked for our occasion and I wouldn't hesitate to book them again for any event I could justify! Five stars not enough.

I recently got married and booked southwest band off of the back of them playing at my other friends wedding! I cant say enough praise about them - so friendly and went above and beyond with all my requests. They even let me live out my dreams and let me sing with them! And also let me play the drums at the last wedding ha ha! All of my friends still speak about how good and memorable they were with their mixes especially me brightside “but make it weird” 😂 i could go on but 10000% would recommend ❤️

South West were an amazing addition to our wedding in October 2023. They performed our first dance song as well as two sets live sets plus DJ provision in between these. They were amazing, and we had so many compliments from our guests too so we knew we weren't just biased! A personal highlight was being able to perform an impromptu bit of karaoke with the band which they had also captured on video. It was an unexpected but really thoughtful memory we now have alongside our wedding album and friends' photos too. We would have them back to another event in a heartbeat. Thanks to Henry for making the organisation easy and the band for being excellent entertainers and musicians - and a shoutout to Shaun for all the videos too ❤️

We booked SWB after seeing them at a friend's wedding a couple of years ago. My now husband isn't usually a dancer but he never left the dance floor so when planning our own wedding having these guys was his only request and, wow, they did not disappoint.
From my first call with Henry I knew we were in good hands, we had them sort out the PA system for our entrance into the marquee and the speeches, the band for our evening entertainment, including learning our first dance, and then DJ set for the remainder of the evening. I loved the fact they could handle everything and it made it so seamless and stress free. We also included an acoustic set by James for the early evening between the meal and the band starting and he was just incredible. We have had so many comments from guests saying how fantastic the band were and what a great atmosphere they all created.
We genuinely couldn't recommend these guys enough, they were a pleasure to deal with and really made the evening of our wedding day absolutely fantastic!!

I had to have Henry and the guys for my wedding after being blown away by their performance at another wedding, and they did not disappoint!
The dance floor was packed all night, and a number of our guests messaged us to say how amazing they were.
They accepted all of my last minute requests (sorry) including a first dance change, which ended up way better than our original idea.
I woke up the day after my wedding with the biggest smile of my face, largely because of this band bringing the house down.

My husband and I saw South West Band a few years ago at a friends wedding. We didn’t know anyone at the wedding, but we stayed on the dance floor all night , if it wasn’t for SWB, we’d have gone home! So when we got engaged we’re organising our wedding, we couldn’t think of a better reason to choose anyone else. My partner and I spent a long long time looking into bands for our wedding, it was one of the most important things for us. We were looking for both a great track list but also a great feeling from band themselves.

We ended up booking Henry and Shaun for an Acoustic Duo during the wedding breakfast and the 4 piece band for the evening.

If you are thinking of booking SWB for any part of your wedding or any function... Do not hesitate!

They were amazing start to finish, did an amazing job of getting people up dancing and really knew what they were doing.

We had multiple people coming up to us in the evening and the following days commenting how great the band were and some of our friends even approaching asking to book them for their own functions.

It truly was an amazing experience and we couldn't recommend the guys enough!

Having a good dance with all of our family and friends was top of the priority list for our wedding and South West Band did a perfect job of making that happen. Their energy was amazing they kept the dance floor full and hit every beat we asked for from indie disco to Irish anthems. We booked South West Band for our wedding in April at the Tithe Barn in Bolton Abbey, after seeing them on the recommended list. Well they didn’t disappoint! From the very first communication with the absolutely FABulous Lauren, the whole process was flawless. Lauren made everything so so easy, I absolutely loved speaking with her and no question was too much trouble.

They make sure the songs they choose for the set is to your taste in music. And boy did the boys put on an amazing show! All the guests were dancing the whole night and still comment on how amazing they were! We also asked the guys to sing our first dance and it was beyond magical.

We opted for the package with the DJ set - this worth every penny and meant I didn’t have to worry about any evening playlists.

Would 100% recommend, thanks for making our wedding so special and THE best party!

I can’t praise this band more. I told them way too much last night, but what a phenomenal evening.

As a family of musicians picking a band is no easy feat and when I discovered these 18 months ago they were already fully booked. However by some miracle they had a cancellation and booked us in!

In my opinion after hours of wedding band hunting south west are the best which was confirmed last night.

Don’t waste your time looking around, just pray you can get these booked!

They played at Matt and Ellie’s wedding party at Lake Henry (Instagram: @alexanderweddingsandevents) and expertly ‘read’ the dance floor playing a fabulous range of songs that had the dance floor buzzing all night long. The band interacted with their audience and looked as if they were having as much fun as we were dancing to the great tunes.

We first witnessed the power of SWB at my sister's wedding in 2022 (thanks, McMasters) and when it came to planning our own wedding, we knew we just had to have these guys. So we stole them.

SWB are INCREDIBLE. They absolutely smashed it on our wedding day and are still such a huge talking point whenever we discuss our day with anyone. Everything from the banging setlist they put together for us, to the perfect version of our first dance song they learnt and played for us, it was everything we wanted and more. We are so so grateful for the effort and energy these guys put into each and every song. So many people commented on how perfectly put together these guys were and the clear talent they all have, and we absolutely agree.

We also had SWB do the DJ set for the evening, which I would absolutely recommend as an add on. Communication, booking and everything in between was also a breeze (which is always a good thing when you have a trillion things to sort out!) The friendliest bunch you could meet.

South West Band played the most amazing set for our wedding evening at The Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey in December 2023.

From the initial chat with Henry over the phone, where he provided lots of details and tips for the wedding day, to Lauren, who was great in the run-up to the big day and helped us with any queries.

Requesting Coldplay for our first dance was no problem for them and they played a worldie in The Pogues to close out their set with some Christmas spirit. The addition of the DJ set to extend the entertainment was well worth it.

The lads on the night were great fun and up for a laugh. Despite never meeting them previously, they felt like our friends.

Brilliant group, from booking through to the event. We booked the South West Band for a corporate function and they did not disappoint. The event consultation, the AV, the set up process and the live performance to finish were fantastic.

We booked SWB off a recommendation from our venue and they did not disappoint! High energy from start to finish, they ensured the dance floor was full, everyone had a great time dancing the night away and 3 months on, guests are still telling us what a great time they had and how brilliant the band were. We would highly recommend booking SWB for your wedding. You can be certain that the atmosphere would never fall flat and everyone would have a fab time. Got our tickets booked for their Leeds gig for my birthday weekend and we can’t wait.

We've seen Southwest Band at other events and we didn't hesitate to book them for ours. They were full of energy, picked a great selections of songs and really ensured everyone wanted to stay on the dancefloor! It was also great to see all the short clips they took of our evening too. We loved having South West Band at our wedding on Saturday, the dancefloor was full all night and many of our guests remarked on how amazing the band were. In the lead up to the wedding they were very responsive to any questions we had and were able to work with us to plan a first dance where our guests would join us because we were nervous! Even on the day one of the lads (Tom?) caught my eye before the first dance and checked I was OK, then reassured me it would be fine - and of course it was! It really made me feel better about the whole thing. A great range of songs and a really great evening, we would recommend them to anyone!

Cannot recommend these guys enough - SWB played our wedding on 30/09 and absolutely blew the roof off the place. We’ve had so many people tell us how much they enjoyed the music, and they even squeezed in a last-minute cover of break stuff when one of our best men requested it. Safe to say that set the tone for the rest of the night!

Nothing was too much trouble, from the time we booked all the way up to the day itself. Henry and Lauren stayed in touch throughout, making sure our first dance was sorted in advance and even asking what our favourite (and least favourite) artists were so that they could tailor the set.

Shaun and the band were BRILLIANT on the night, and were very understanding when the dance floor got a little excitable - thank you for being such great guys! We had the best night, and so did our guests.

I've been to a whole bunch of weddings and this was honestly the best wedding band I've seen. Great reading of the crowd and excellent musicians.

We booked South West Band for our wedding and they were absolutely amazing. They were the second most complimented part of the day, just after the Bride!

The atmosphere was brilliant and they had everybody up dancing. They're really talented and they smashed every song they played, including a great mashup towards the end of the night. Their repertoire is really varied, so all of the guests got to listen to stuff that they loved.

We also got them to DJ throughout the night as well as performing live, and they did a great job at that as well.

Regardless of whatever else you want to do for your wedding, book South West Band.

If I could give them 10000000 stars I would.

We booked South West Band for our wedding in August 23 on the recommendation of our wedding coordinator and they did not disappoint!

They were brilliant from start to finish. Everyone was up dancing for the sets, and they just projected so much energy, charisma, passion and fun the whole night through.

Everyone at the wedding (even the venue staff) could not stop telling us how good they were!

We had a 4 pieces band and DJ sets in-between, they played such a variety of songs and there really was something for everyone.

Southwest Band are a recommended supplier at Lake Henry wedding venue and we love having them. They create such a great atmosphere for your wedding and have your guests dancing from start to finish. The full service and all day package they provide is excellent. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to party.

If you’re unsure about which band to book for your wedding - go see these guys live (they do occasional showcases evenings). You will be blown away. We’ve seen them at 5-6 subsequent weddings following on from performing at our own wedding. The moment you learn SouthWest Band are on, it’s like learning your favourite band are headlining tonight. Go check out their ever expanding repertoire & get to a showcase gig. They book up months in advance so book early to ensure your wedding ends on the highest of highs.

Absolutely amazing!! From the first call I had with Henry his passion shone through. I’d been following them on Instagram for a while and was so excited they were available for our wedding! We met Henry and it confirmed we’d had made the right choice… he sang our first dance to us and told us how he would then up the tempo at verse two to get everyone joining in! What a night… they were incredible! And we’ve had sooo many people tell us how amazing our band were! And my 3 year old son was obsessed, he played his little electric guitar along with them until he got blisters and wanted to listen and watch them to the very end! Thank you gentlemen!

I'd heard really good things about South West Band and I was not disappointed. I hired the band for my wedding in July in Beverley. They were so organised, punctual and really friendly. They played so well and got everyone up on the dance floor. The main comment from all the guests at the end of the night was how great the band had been. Would 10/10 recommend, thank you so much!

Southwest were the second wedding thing we booked only second to the venue! We knew we wanted them from the start and they didn’t disappoint. This band just did a wedding on Friday at the Tithe barn at Bolton Abbey , amazing excellent sound song after song before the wedding with two on guitar , they provided the sound for the speeches and the music in between before finishing the night off with the full band playing some really good stuff and DJ

Having been lucky enough to have the guys play at our wedding we can’t recommend them highly enough. Forget what you might think of as a ‘party’ band this was a full on gig! Our guests haven’t stopped raving about them since! The nicest guys to deal with and really got what we were after and went over and above to give us everything we wanted and more!

We were over the moon to have SouthWest band play at our wedding a couple of weeks ago! They were actually incredible! So much fun, so brilliant and the choice of songs was absolutely on point!! They made our night and literally people never left the dance floor! We've had loads of comments from our guests about how brilliant they were, they totally nailed it for us and we're so grateful! All I wanted was to dance the night away with my friends and family and that's exactly what we were able to do!
Also a big thank you to them for learning the song for our first dance - it was a fantastic version and a memory we'll treasure for always!
We hope to see them again at some point - either at another wedding or another performance somewhere else! Looking forward to that already!

Southwest band played at our wedding at Yorkshire wedding they were absolutely brilliant! All the guests commented how fab they were! Everyone was dancing all night! The last song they played was wonderwall not realising it was my aisle song! How amazing! Would 100% recommend

When we found Southwest band we knew they were the band for us, their throwback medley was everything we loved from our youth and still love. They definitely delivered the goods, the dance floor was packed and all our guests commented on how good the band was. Thankyou for learning our first dance song. They did not disappoint and a massive highlight of our special day.

It’s been a year since this amazing band played our wedding and people still reminisce to this day about how brilliant they were! It was fab to see them again this year at a friend’s wedding. They are fun, friendly and made our wedding into the best party ever 💕 you will not regret booking this band!

We chose southwest band because they where a brilliant array of collective music choices and we especially loved the rock music choices. They had presence and the front man was brilliant at getting everyone up on the dance floor and getting the crowd going.
They were brilliant just wish we could get married again so we could have them again at our wedding but we shall have to go and see them instead.

Henry and the Southwest Band, were the the best choice myself and Jen made for the wedding day. An absolute pleasure and a delight. They ROCKED the show, from the very first song to the final encores X2 😂. They also actively encouraged the guests to have the best time. Even though a mosh pit did breakout at one point.

Southwest band played at my daughter's wedding this weekend. All I can say is...they were awesome. Such a nice group of guys headed up by Tom, and so much talent. SouthWest Band are the BEST! The band played acoustically during the day of our wedding and then in the evening. They were INCREDIBLE! The dance floor was full, the dancing was wild and the music was perfect. They are all very talented guys, who know how to keep wedding guests dancing. A big thank you to you all!

Had these guys play at our barn wedding at the weekend & we couldn’t recommend them enough... Even in the heat (due to the lack of air con) they still had the dance floor full. We had everyone singing like it was the encore for the first dance, and that sent the tone for the whole evening the guys smashed it. fantastic is all we really have to say, nailed exactly how we dreamed our wedding vibs to be. people dancing on the tables, a proper party atmosphere, the guys know how to get a room going. I stumbled across the band through a google search. We were looking for a band for our leaving do. I loved the hip hop melody on their website...they were even better live! Everyone of the 150 guests at our party raved about how great they were! Even my husband, who does not dance, was on the dance floor by the end of the night! I honestly can’t rave about them enough! Fabulous. Thanks guys for making our night so special

They were absolutely fabulous they learnt and played our first dance by rod Stewart brilliantly and played a great variation of music during the night and also asked for requests towards the end it was perfect just the way we wanted it !!

Southwest played at my husbands 40th birthday party and were such nice guys and totally brilliant musicians. Their playlist was varied and perfect for what we wanted. They were happy to learn a song that I wanted and played requests through the evening. The fact they they played acoustic and then dj’d till the end made the night run smoothly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these guys. Thanks for such a fantastic night.

The boys performed at our recent wedding and WOW!!! They were incredible. They had the whole wedding party dancing all night. Tom sang our first dance song which was amazing. Happened upon Southwest Band Mark 2 at The Conservatory in Leeds on Sat while they were playing for a wedding in the open pub. So much fun! Had a great night, great music (even the um... Hip-hop?!?) and stayed much longer than I normally would. Lovely guys. Thanks for a great night X

Southwestband (Mark 2) were the most amazing thing we could have possibly hoped for our wedding on 2nd June. Read the crowd, did all my requests perfectly, were genuinely kind and friendly, sorted everything, massively professional. They were a massive part of making our day perfect. Can't wait to find out where they're gigging and check them out again. They also threw in some surprises that were amazing! Can't reveal - spoilers!

I was tasked with finding a top band for our Law firm's summer ball in Leeds. The videos don't do SouthWestband justice......They were absolutely incredible!
They totally made the night, two weeks on and they are still the talk of the office. Book with hesitation!
