We wanted some steel band music to set the tone for our Caribbean themed Golden Wedding Anniversary Party so we booked Gary Trotman. He was the ultimate professional. He arrived early, set up quietly with no fuss and then delivered exactly what we wanted. We told our guests that he had flown in especially from Barbados to perform and he was so good some of them believed us!

The icing to the cake was that we asked for a specific song which Gary wasn't expecting but he researched it quickly and delivered. Very special

Gary turned up when promised and setup discretely. He worked with us to incorporate little touches into our day that made it special for us, including family involvement. He was very flexible and responsive to our guests, even adapting to the spontaneous conga line that developed and sending us a video of it afterwards which was awesome. He read the room well and stayed beyond our original end time since our guests were enjoying his music so much. We've had multiple mentions since then from guests who loved his playing. Would thoroughly recommend him.

Gary performed on Tuesday at my Nan's funeral service, and was absolutely fantastic! Everyone who came along said that he made the day, not only with his great music but also with his infectious smile. When searching for performers, Caribbean Steel Band's prices were the lowest by far (and I mean hundreds!!) and from the beginning Gary was calm and uncomplicated when making arrangements for the day... just what I needed at this difficult time for my family. I can not recommend highly enough. Thank you so much.

Caribbean Steel Band - a truly enjoyable, unforgettable performance from these two professional, helpful, kind and talented gentleman. The music played at our Luau party was excellent, so good we invited them back for our second party and hopefully will see them again very soon.

We have booked last minute musicians for two years running for our family BBQ.
They are absolutely amazing, very professional and most of all they get everyone up on the dance floor even my 92 year old dad, he loves to dance and couldn't help strutting his stuff.
We will definitely be booking them again next year for any other events we may have.

These guys were excellent. They travelled quite some distance to play at my husband's birthday party and were extremely well received by all of our guests. I would recommend them highly to anyone considering a steel band.

We were lucky enough to have booked Steelosophical for our wedding and they were fantastic. We are off on a Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon and having Steelosophical there made it very real! All our guests loved the band. We had them playing throughout the drinks reception and the wedding breakfast and they played so well. If you get the chance to have these guys at your wedding or party, we would 100% recommend them.

Steelasophical absolutely smashed it at our wedding! They got every guest of all ages up and dancing. Everybody truly loved them. What more can I say, if you want a great wedding band, get in touch with Steelasophical, they were recommended personally to us and I also would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! Steel band, Mobile Dj, Vocal entertainer, they even provided the lighting to transform our wedding venue! 10/10

Our party took place on a horrendous cold windy and rainy day; but, you wouldn't have guessed it! Steelosophical (duo with DJ services) bought the Carribean weather to the party and was all the guests talked about even 2 weeks after the party.

The band were professional, and surprised me with their range of songs ( there was something for all ages and cultures) and their talent with one of the members taking a turn on the mic. They arrived early to set up so the guests were played to on arrival. The hotel in fact were late with the reception drinks which didn't matter as everyone was so transfixed with the band. Gary is a pleasure to deal with and happily used his experience of events to judge the mood of the event and play music accordingly.

My mother always has to complain about something and she was full of praise for the band and the party as a result of the band. Result!! I would rate them 11/10 and would highly recommend them.

The service received from last minute musicians was perfect. Quick to respond to any emails and queries and were always professional and courteous. The musician we went with, Gary Trotman - Steelasophical, was the icing on the cake for our wedding day and really did make the day even better than I could ever have imagined. Thank you.

What a party starter! Our guest still haven't stopped talking about how brilliant this band was. With a wide range of songs played from the more traditional to chart hits they got everyone moving and in a great mood for the rest of the evening. They were just amazing! They were early for the event, I had arranged a time for them to begin playing but we ran over (cake cutting/ first dance etc) and they didn't mind at all even though it meant they would not be able to get home as soon as they would have! They took requests, got people dancing, even went up to guests and sung directly to them which was brilliant! We've had such good feedback from our guests and would definitely recommend them! The band were booked for the wedding reception of my son and new wife. The guys were brilliant, music was excellent, they were very smartly dressed and so pleasant to deal with. From the initial booking of the event I was kept updated, the manager Gary responded straight away to any queries I had. Overall a very professional band. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Price wise, they were also one of the best and charged only half of what other bands quoted.

The caribbean steel band played at our wedding on 6th October. We were only expecting a solo performance but were delighted when a duo played. Throughout their performance they went that extra mile. We had the band up for our summer party last weekend and they were fantastic. Quick communication made organising the event as easy as possible, and on the day music was absolutely perfect! I hired these lovely musicians for my son's first birthday party in May. It was a great choice! They arrived ahead of scheduled, set up and played wonderfully! Everyone loved the music (which turned out to be a great choice for the little children as they were not scared and quite enjoyed the soft tunes)
my son loved the steel drums and we all had a great time.

Our Residents had a great time last week at Merlewood when Gary came to perform the steel drums whilst they enjoyed their carribean themed lunch. The Residents are still talking about what how much they enjoyed Gary's music. He really made it special for them. He's the nicest guy and even stayed well over his paid time and didn't finish playing till the residents had finished their lunch. We will definatley look forward to booking him again in the future.

I was chosen to appear on c4 come dine with me in april. It was a Carribean theamed evening and I thought what better way to entertain than to have a steel band. Gary was amazing. It was like we were really in Barbados. I honestly believe that it was because of his amazing performance that I went on to win. Thank you so much gary.

We have now had the pleasure of hiring Gary's Caribbean Steel Drum Band on two occasions. On both occassions our guests were very impressed, as were we and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Their music is "happy" music and with it comes the "sunshine" even though it was a rainy Saturday in May 2012. Thank you for making my husband's birthday party one to remember.

greatr band unique sound very versatile great range of music to cover every taste, DJ services fabulous and big screen projector / screen and photography to capture the day and night. would definately book them again, the left no stone unturned and a fab night was had by all highly recommended. if you have not had the pleasure of hearing a unique steel band this is the one for you ;-)
