We booked Stephen for a Celebration lunch and he was brilliant, turned the event from something ordinary to outstanding. We gave him some ideas of what music we liked and he put together the play lists to deliver an excellent musical experience. We will definitely use him again.

I booked Stephen for my nans 90th as my grandad used to play the accordion and is sadly no longer with us. I requested 40s and 50s music and everything was perfect.

Stephen played for us all day on a Sunday as part of our celebrations for the Hampstead Big Fair 2024. As guests moved around the House and through our exhibition spaces, he played a fantastic repertoire of jazz classics and some lively classical pieces. Stephen was brilliant! We had lots of positive comments from visitors, many of whom sat and listened to him playing throughout the day.

He's also a really lovely person, and just gets on with playing!

Stephen played for our french themed dinner night. He played beautifully and set the mood. He was most obliging throughout the booking period and on the night.

Stephen is an extremely talented musician and played a perfectly tasteful selection of background music for my father's funeral wake including everything I had mentioned as my favourite pieces. I booked Stephen to play at a funeral and he was wonderful in every way. Communication was perfect, and on the day Stephen arrived promptly, and adapted smoothly with a last minute change of schedule. Despite being a sad occasion, Stephen's playing brought a smile to so many people's faces, and really made the day that extra bit special. I would have no hesitation in recommending him or engaging his services again.

Stephen was first class, arrived early and stayed as late as he could given he had another gig across the country that evening. My Nan loved him and still talks about the music at her birthday. Stephen made the effort to learn a couple of her favourite tunes and was just brilliant on the day. 5*

Stephen's playing was the ideal addition to my mother's 95th birthday party. Nothing beats live music, so excellently played by Stephen. He chose the right repertoire and evoked her era perfectly. I have no hesitation in recommending him for any event.

We wanted to thank you so much for playing at our wedding. Everybody thought that you were brilliant and that your involvement was an amazing touch especially out by the lake, it was perfect. Stephen made our party a massive success. He was so cooperative in playing all the different genres of music we requested and created a wonderful fun atmosphere; without him the party would have been nowhere near as fantastic as it was. Without exception everybody had a great time thanks to him.

Stephen entertained at my sisters 50th Birthday dinner party last weekend in Suffolk, mixing comedy and superb piano playing. Having supplied Stephen with as much info on my sister and family and friends who were attending the evening, he gave a This is Your Life performance and also managed to mention everyone in the room, in an extremely comedic way. The room was full of laughter, the guests hanging off his every word. Everyone, from the Grandchildren to the Grandparents were giggling throughout. We would very much recommend Stephen to liven up any event.

We hired Stephen to play classically Parisienne cafe style music and help give us an authentic ambience for our annual Beaujolais Nouveau Supper. He did not fail to deliver! The diners loved him and his professionalism was second to none; arriving nice and early and even coming in some French dress to go along with our 'tongue in cheek' French theme for the evening.

What a super pianist and accordion player.

We booked Stephen for our wedding reception and we were not disappointed, he was simply fantastic.

All our family and friends couldn't stop raving about how wonderful, warm and intimate his music was and how it set the scene for the rest of our wedding day.

Stephens natural talent along with his clear passion was something we all shall never forget. Listening to his wonderful melodic tunes on his piano and accordion and bringing smiles to all our guests, especially us, we all wanted more and didn't want him to leave.

What more is there to say apart from, Thankyou Stephen for making our wedding day a memorable one.

A great fun, silly, show, packed with slapstick and bizarre trivia about composers. Stephen takes us on his own journey as a composer via the works of his influences (the pieces demonstrating his early plagarism are great) via a whole load of wigs, accents and skits. Irreverent! – and the humour was halfway between Mr Bean and cartoonist Gerard Hoffnung. Recommended for anyone with even a passing knowledge of classical music.

Stephen, a highly accomplished pianist, actor and theatre/film composer, here fills the stage with his ingenious, comedic and touching musical insights and real life tales of his own musical life and achievements to date, sprinkled with gems of portrayals of some of the greatest composers covering the last few centuries – Mozart, Satie, Bach, Beethoven (not forgetting his cleaning lady), and Rimsky Korsakov, to name a few – and comic songs which would make Laurel and Hardy beam. Stephen’s talent at the piano speaks for itself.

His show is a magical present, the contents of which you want to wrap and unwrap over and over again. At the close, this loveable and larger than life character, whose unmistakable voice and persona makes us go wobbly at the knees, graces the stage and the piano keys. Hoffnung, Thurber – homage to you all. Music lovers everywhere, go see it and bring your piano teacher.

There’s something quite touching about watching a middle aged Oliver Hardy type man acting out eccentric tales from great composers and from his own musical life. As well as collating these two sentiments, Daltry also manages to squeeze in sketches a la Mr Bean and BBC commentators as well as pasting in his own comical composition. No one gets off lightly, least of all Daltry himself. One is beset by uncertainty as to whether his lounge bar personality surrenders to the dejected genius type like many bygone composers, or if he is just acting. Either way, Daltry delivers quirkiness in buckets. After getting over his histrionics, there is impish warmth to the show that packs a punch with great variety and bizarre humour.

As a personal friend and colleague of Stephen's, I cannot fault him as a pianist. His style of playing is effortless, especially when playing Jazz , swing and most American songbook standards. Stephen really gives everything when he is playing and most importantly he is a real true gentlemen and will always be reliable.

Thank you SO MUCH for coming up to York and making such a wonderful impact upon the whole proceedings. You did an absolutely fabulous job throughout the whole evening - tinkling to the glasses at the reception, evocative stuff giving class and cool to the meal and atmospheric jollification to the casino. We couldn't have done it without you. We felt very privileged to call upon such generous talent....thankyou.

This is the second time Stephen has played at one of my functions. Excellent both times.
