The River Time Jazz Trio was the perfect group to perform for our residents of the Home for their annual garden party. The musicians were punctual, kind to the residents and best of all amazing at what they do. Every song made you feel like you wanted to sing along. Songs were reminiscent and took residents back to a time in their life when garden parties were all the rage,

I cannot sing the praises of this band highly enough.

All the musicians are absolutely lovely, and took time speaking to my mum (who's birthday it was) and the guests. They are all so incredibly talented and were an absolute pleasure to listen to throughout the night.

They were prompt, professional, friendly and got the vibe of night perfectly, creating a wonderful atmosphere with fantastic music. I cannot recommend this band enough, they were simply fantastic in every way.

If you are ever looking for a Jazz quartet, please do book with this band for your event. They were the absolute highlight of the night and the making of the party.

I trawled through numerous sites to find the right sort of band to celebrate my special 80th birthday lunch at Sulgrave Manor - the ancestral home of America’s first president George Washington. I found the answer in [name of band]. They provided such a high standard of entertainment and went to great lengths to provide the sounds I wanted

These lovely people came to play during the drinks at my daughter’s 21st birthday party. They were very attentive to her style, flexible on the timings of their sets, friendly and accommodating. Great music too - just the right tempo. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. June 2024

I booked the quartet to play at my nan's 80th birthday party and they were perfect! They were incredibly communicative and accommodating in the planning of the event, arrived promptly and waited patiently whilst we herded the guests.

The repertoire was exactly what we were looking for - jazz and swing classics that my nan and our family enjoyed dancing to. A most excellent time was had by all! The standard of musicianship was of excellent quality - the demo clips on the site are truly representative of the performance you can expect.

Thank you for the wonderful music. So many people have commented on how much they enjoyed it - to have jazz live in my own back garden really made it for me. My wife and I are so pleased we booked the The River Jazz Quartet for our golden wedding anniversary party. They were friendly and easy to deal with in preparing for the event, and on the day itself they performed brilliantly. Many of our guests have since told us how very impressed they were.

The River Jazz Quartet played at my father’s birthday celebration last weekend. They were exceptionally good and this was commented on by a large number of the guests. During the planning we discussed the type of music we would like and the playlist on the day was perfect. The band had even gone to the trouble of adding a few of my father’s favourite songs to their repertoire. We could not have enjoyed the music more and are very happy to recommend them.

The band were brilliant. The music was just right for evening drinks, canapes and buffet. The set up and dismantling happened with the minimum of fuss and I couldnt recommend them more highly

This band made my wedding day! I could not have asked for more from them. They sussed out exactly what I wanted in a couple of emails and on the day played this at a very high standard indeed. They went out of their way to play many specific tunes I had requested. Only problem was I wanted to get rid of my guests so I could hear them undisturbed! They were also generally pleasure to have at the occasion, arriving exactly when requested and delivering exactly what was asked of them. Book this band :)

It was a perfectly magical evening! The jazz quartet added the sophistication and Gatsby feel that was exactly what we hoped for! The music was relaxed and yet very danceable. I asked The River Jazz Quartet to play at my mother's funeral and wake: her will specified "New Orleans music to cheer the attenders" and The River Jazz Quartet filled the role perfectly. At the wake they changed to the sort of 1930's and 40's swing that Mother grew up with, and also played one of Jan's own compositions from the 1970's as a special treat. The matter was dealt with professionally, with the band giving good advice in advance and turning up in good time on the day. Highly recommended.

Jan, Janet and their sons came to entertain us at Norman's 60th Birthday last Saturday and were absolutely marvellous. Everybody enjoyed the music which was a mixture of jazz and Latin. It was a fabulous edition to a great party, and everyone commented on what great live music it was.
They are very professional, arrived on time and played requests as well. We would highly recommend their services to make an event really special.

Jan and Jan came to play , piano and sax in our garden for a birthday party . They set the scene beautifully and were the perfect combination for a relaxed and sunny lunch party. They were easy to contact, straigtforward to book and pay . They arrived in good time, were very friendly , set up and started playing a great variety of gentle jazz classics which provided just the right atmosphere as our friends arrived and while we chatted and ate lunch. WeI would highly recommend them.

Thank you so much for coming to our aid New Years Eve. When our musicians had to cancel last minute (through no fault of their own) Jan came to our rescue and found us a top class saxophonist and pianist. We have had so many wonderful comments about the music and created a few new Jazz fans too! Thank you to Allison and Kate for providing the wonderful music and Jan for all your help. Happy New Year!
