Reviews of The Shakesters

We booked the Shakesters to play at a joint 30th and 60th birthday party with a 1950′s and 1980′s theme, a wide age range to entertain! They were absolutely fantastic, got everyone dancing with some great interaction with the guests and making sure the birthday boy and birthday girl got shouts outs and were the centre of attention!

They were really organised, making sure they knew what we were expecting from them in the planning stages, to setting up promptly and playing an epic set! Highlight of the night, a great group of guys and we could not recommend them enough for any function!

Huge thanks to Tony and the rest of the band for playing at our wedding reception. You were absolutely amazing and kept the dance floor filled all night! We had many compliments from our guests on the choice of band and I have to say you absolutely made our night! The extra special touch of learning our special Elvis song was very much appreciated and meant the world to us. We can’t thank you enough!

After several attempts to book The Toledos we finally had them at the Iona Families Club in Gosport! What a fantastic band who had everyone dancing, singing and toe tapping along to some great music. Despite having 2 festival gigs before us that day the energy was electric, and so professional. Our members are still buzzing and wanting another booking asap. Cannot recommend this band highly enough. Thank you so much and look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

A really good night at the Cove Ivy Leaf on Saturday, The Shakesters were excellent.

The Shakesters played at The Departure Lounge cafe for the cafes’ 10th anniversary and it couldn’t have been a better choice of bands. The weather was not on our side but the band managed to get everyone dancing and keep the atmosphere lively and fun. They have a unique style which fits the cafe perfectly. We’ll definitely be keeping the band in our minds for any future events.

Thanks so much to all The Shakesters for such a brilliant evenings entertainment. A really nice bunch of guys that seemed to enjoy themselves as much as we did, as we danced the night away. Their kindness in supporting our charity event for Childs Trust made a huge difference to the evenings success and we’re really grateful. We’re all looking forward to you playing at Oakley Infant School in March. We’d recommend you guys in a heartbeat.

We thought you did a wonderful job last night at our do at the Ely. Everyone commented on how good the sound was. Our many thanks to you all and we wish you well in the future.

We booked The Shakesters for our Sports Club Annual Dinner & Dance, what a fantastic band and bunch of guys they are. The dancefloor was packed from start to finish and those not dancing were sat at the tables singing along to the hits that everyone knows. We had some great compliments about the band and people asking when we can book them again. One member even said "I’ve not seen a band this good since Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich”! Now that’s got to be a compliment! Thank you for giving us such a great night guys, we’ll be making future bookings for 2017.

After seeing The Shakesters play live for the first time we knew we had to book them for our pub’s New Years Eve event. We had put in a lot of work for our ticketed party and we needed an exceptional band to play. Luckily we were organised and booked early enough to seal The Shakesters for our event. They absolutely blew the roof off!!! Such professionalism from start to finish, amazing set list, incredible look and sound and without doubt the best event band we have ever booked! They had every single guest in the pub dancing all night and even played for extra time! The days following our event were flooded with amazing comments from our guests. The Shakesters were without doubt the key ingredient to the success of our event and we will be booking them again and again!

A big thank you for last night, my phone and Facebook have been inundated with party goers telling me what a great time they had and how fabulous the band were.

I have been to a number of events and fundraising nights with The Shakesters and have always had a fantastic night. Therefore, when we started to arrange a fundraising night for our school it was an easy choice. That was in 2015, and last Friday we had our second annual fundraising evening with The Shakesters. What a brilliant night, the band are fantastic. Friendly, fun, professional and absolutely brilliant at what they do best. Yep, getting lots and lots of people up on the dancefloor all night and giving everyone a brilliant night. The songs were all real crowd pleasers and the band helped to create such a great atmosphere. I cannot recommend them highly enough and we are arranging next years event already!! Very much looking forward to having The Shakesters there to rock the night away. So, many thanks!

What a great night was had at Fairlands Community Centre when The Shakesterss came to play at our St Georges Day celebrations. As predicted, everyone from all age groups were soon up dancing to all their favourite songs, and when worn out with dancing sang along with them. The band obviously enjoyed playing and interacting with guests - and even joining in with the raffle held. They even managed to walk away with a few prizes!!! Thanks guys for helping to make our evening a success.

Tony and the gang, what a great night you gave us all. Great music, great appearance, just great all round entertainment. Clients are already asking when The Shakesters will be back. We will definitely be asking you back for an evening which is too good to miss. We highly recommend The Shakesters for a great selection of 60’s music.
