Review Centre: Solo Musicians

"My now wife saw Martha Jones playing in a bar and suggested we book her for our wedding reception. When I went to see her at the Botanist in Didsbury, I was completely blown away. She has such a unique voice and style which is very different to the usual run of the mill singers. She played a numbers of covers and even took requests from the audience. She’s also a lovely person too so we booked her that night! When it came to the wedding, she was very communicative, checking about the songs that we wanted and also learning a couple of songs to play for our wedding ceremony. Everyone was commenting on how great she was and it safe to say that she played a key part in making sure our wedding day was memorable for both us, and also all of our guests. I cannot recommend her highly enough and the only problem Martha Jones has it that she doesn’t know how good she is! Looking forward to seeing her again in a bar soon."

"Saw Marc at the Grand Northern Ukulele Festival 2017 in Huddersfield. His original songs brought a tear to my eye (and I'm not usually one to blubber at music!!) His performance really moved me, I felt like I'd been through what he'd been through. Definitely worth a watch."

"Found Joe via last minute musicians and it turned out to be one of the easiest and best things to arrange for our wedding! Joe’s communication from start to finish was brilliant, all very easy and made to feel unique - he played throughout our wedding breakfast and set the tone perfectly! We asked him to play what he felt was appropriate for the event, which he very much did and he even offered to learn a few songs that we wanted to have played specifically - he learnt 3 new songs for us and that were all amazing! Really nice guy, very professional, friendly and the best thing is, he’s amazing at what he does! We feel like he was a bit of a find and we have no hesitation in recommending for any wedding! We had so many comments about how good he was and it's just a shame we don’t have another event to get him back. Thanks again - Andy & Holly "

"Elsie Jane - you are just wonderful! Could not have asked for a better singer during dinner at our wedding reception. You sang beautifully, with a fantastic mix of current and old jazz songs. You created a perfect atmosphere for us and our guests to have dinner and im sure at one point you even got some of us up and dancing mid meal! All of our guests complimented you so much. We cannot thank you enough for just being so great! We love your voice and music. The voice of an angel! "Claire was extremely prompt when we were enquiring for a saxophone player for our wedding. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the saxophone playing during our wedding pre-arrival drinks. Claire also played beautiful background music during family speeches and even moved locations through the couple of hours she was with us so all our guests got to experience the saxophone playing. Polite, professional and extremely talented. A fantastic find and we are both so glad we booked Claire Manners for our wedding. I would recommend Claire to anyone for any occasion."
