Review Centre: Solo Musicians

"Words cannot describe how thrilling it was to walk into the reception, hear music, turn round and see you play. You created a truly magical atmosphere. When the band came on later, everyone got up to dance. And it was not a straightforward gig. The band went that extra mile - not only in the planning and preparation stages, scheduling an order of ceremonies that would cater for our precise needs and requirements - but also on the day itself. When my DJ vocalist fell through at the last minute, the band were only too happy to step in, playing my MP3 cues through their sound system and even learning our first dance wedding request on the spur of the moment! The band were also kind enough to play extra time, and I was really pleased with their adaptability and flexibility in response to the fluctuating nature of the event. They ensured that my wedding was a real party. The band itself was a joy to behold and everyone was delighted with your music. I sincerely hope that we can work with you again in future. Thank you!"

"Jermaine was absolutely fantastic. Professional from the initial conversation. He has great communication and manages everything so well. He is a superb musician and wowed my husband and our guest. I would recommend him to everyone. Jermaine can play anything and if unfamiliar with notice can master it. I will definitely be booking again he made my wedding even more wonderful. "George played the Summer Ball at RAF Waddington at the end of June 2019. He played some solo sets as well as joining with bandmates Graham and Phil as 'Maslow' to deliver two absolutely huge sets. He delivered songs from 'The Greatest Showman' which was our theme for the event, as well as range of hits and they DJ'd between sets and put on a disco till 2am, entertaining 500 guests for 7 hours! The feedback from the attendees was brilliant with everyone saying how great they were. George was really flexible, easy to work with and communicated well all through the booking process. A consummate professional, I thoroughly recommend George Simpson music for any event."

"Thank you to both of you for your involvement in a wonderful evening at the Savoy. We were aiming for a fun yet sophisticated event during which the girls and parents could be together for one last time before the exams and then leaving Wycombe Abbey and you fulfilled the brief completely. Your set during dinner was pitch perfect, beginning with gentle, mellifluous music to provide a sympathetic background to the general chit-chat over dinner. An hour later, the guests had forgotten their chatter and were totally absorbed in the consummate performance of lively and accomplished numbers."

"Matt played at my wife's 40th. We hired Matt because he is not one of those "X factor wannabes". Matt's passion is the sound of the music, not how famous he might be able to get and this really comes out in his live performances. Matt has a great voice and natural rhythm. Both his acoustic guitar and loop sets were really good. He also dealt admirably with dozens of kids running around the place! It was nice to meet Matt. He's a nice bloke and he creates some great sounds. Would definitely recommend him for any kind of gig whether it be a pub, a private party or a bigger stage. Thanks Matt! "

"John was splendid. He provided just the kind of background entertainment we needed for the party we held at home (for about 40 people - bit crowded!). He moved about the premises, modulating his volume and performance to match the circumstances. A good repertoire and a friendly, reliable service."
