Review Centre: Solo Musicians

"Samantha came to Porthill Park Cricket Club to help us end our season in style, a brilliant opening acoustic set was pitched perfectly for the occasion as the crowd listened and enjoyed whilst there was still a buzz of conversation around this was exactly what we needed to set the night up, Samantha even providing music for her interval which again was very good and all in keeping with the momentum of the evening, her second set really got the party going with some classic singalong songs and old favourites all very well delivered, she also joined in the fun!! We are so glad that she could help us celebrate our season in style and we certainly did, so many comments after about how good the live sets were and how much people enjoyed the entertainment provided. She's certainly a talented artist who's down to earth and a lovely local girl , thanks from everyone at Porthill, we hope to see you again soon Samantha, PPCC committee. "

"Joe was awesome, he came on as a surprise for our first dance and was able to play a song we requested (Calvin Harris - By Your Side) and everyone loved it. He kept the dance floor busy throughout his sets and brought the Folie Douce vibes, which is exactly what we were after. The song choices were spot on and it a as even better than we could have imagined. Thanks for making our wedding day so memorable and we would 100% recommend! Matt and Lucy "

The atmosphere you managed to create was exactly what we were hoping for; and reflected the stylish, simplistic ambience of the wedding and the venue. "Zoe played the harp at our wedding at Butley Priory on 06/04/2024. I had previously heard her play on a school trip (I am a teaching assistant) and knew straight away that I wanted her to play at my wedding! The communication between Zoe and myself was excellent. She was very efficient at replying to my queries and keeping in contact. Zoe has a huge repertoire and gave us the opportunity to choose music for my entrance, signing of the register and our exit. She helped to make suggestions for pieces that would work well and also learnt a piece that we chose that she hadn't played for a long time. She was prompt, professional and friendly. The harp she played was full size and a beautiful instrument. It sounded wonderful with the acoustics of our venue. She played while our guests arrived, during the ceremony and then at our drinks reception. This was 3 hours in total. The music was stunning, a fantastic mix of modern and traditional. So many of our guests commented on the music and how lovely it was. I would not hesitate to recommend Zoe for any wedding or event, large or small! Thank you Zoe! "

"We were looking for a jazz singer, for our Anniversary, and found thankfully found Vanessa. She was had a warm and approachable manner, and was a true proffessional. We were over joyed with the energy she bought to our event. Her vocal ability was out standing, she wowed our guests, and her image was absolutely stunning. What an absolute diamond this lady is. "

"What can we say? Yesterday was so perfect; I don’t have words to describe it, my heart is absolutely bursting with pride and love. We have to say a huge thank you for playing for us, we were so pleased with your performance, it was so good. So many people were commenting saying how good you sounded and what an original thing to have at a wedding. My brother was particularly pleased with “Thunderstruck” -definitely a classic! when you played “When I’m 64”, my heart soared. Thank you again for performing for us. We highly recommend Jo as we booked her for our son’s wedding. She’s very reliable, organized, and professional. The choice of music was vast and the sound quality in and outdoors was excellent. We would definitely recommend her for any social functions. 5 stars. EXCELLENT! "

"Nigel played on a grand piano at our wedding drinks reception at Shuttleworth house, Old Warden. Every piece played was beautiful and kept in with our theme. The music set a warm and joyful atmosphere on a very cold day. Nigel is very polite and made time to speak to guests after his performance. I highly recommend, it added a very special touch to our very special day. "

"We had Jamie play at our ceremony at Winton Castle, honestly everything was perfect. We had a list of songs and hymns that we wanted to play and there were no issues whatsoever. Jamie is a great piano player and we got numerous compliments on how good the music was during the ceremony. Would recommend him to anyone ! "

"We had already had Nick play for us before with his amazing Legends show but we wanted his 80’s themed show this time and wow it was just brilliant. A few surprises as well as legendary songs by Bon Jovi, Wham, Lionel Richie, Rod Stewart, Ub40 plus many many others but needless to say we was all singing and dancing along with it all. It just went by too quickly but all executed with his fantastic guitar playing and faultless vocals. Can’t wait til we have him back for Xmas . Thank you for making the evening such a memorable one"

"Booked Pete to play at my husband's 50th birthday party last week. He arrived right on time and got to work straight away. His song range was excellent and right on point for the audience. He even learned some Springsteen songs as requested for the guest of honour. Feedback from the guests was very positive with everyone commenting how good he was and husband was very pleased. I would definitely recommend him and book him again. Thank you Pete for helping make a memorable night"
