Review Centre: Festival Bands

"Well… where to begin. We were looking for a band for our wedding pre COVID and went to see Soul Of The Party at the Green Room in Liverpool. As soon as we heard them, we knew they were the band for us. Richard was so helpful, this came in lucky as we ended up with 3 dates, thankfully all of which Soul Of The Party were able to rearrange. They learnt a song for our wedding which we had for the 1st dance and the whole night was perfect. The music, the sound, the stage presence, to waving my nephew off to bed who had been living his best life on the dance floor. It was a perfect night, we wouldn’t change a thing. We will be back to your gigs to relive the fun. Thank you!"

"The guests and I thought that 21C were simply awesome. They hit all the notes, played some of the best contemporary songs and did justice to some old rock classics. Sound quality excellent."

"As we’d opted for an October wedding, we knew we needed to ramp up the atmosphere being out of season. So… we were unbelievably chuffed that we booked Primed for the reception. They seemed to be loving it, taking requests off the cuff and and allowing guest to get up and sing. Amazing. Highly recommended. "

"Tim, Rohan and Kat were absolutely great. They performed at the ceremony and for the evening at our wedding in north Cornwall. Communication was superb throughout, with generous advice and additional support where needed. They were the stars of the day, with many people complimenting the arranged and live music throughout. They got the whole party going, and we’re polite and courteous. Kat voice is superb and they are performed incredible music. Cannot recommend them enough. Jacob and Ami X "

"Big thanks to Rox & The Roots for putting on such a fantastic show at the Greyhound of the Year Awards. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we’ve never seen the dance floor fill up that quickly before! I’ve heard so many great responses from the gig and we’ve already been asked about a repeat performance from the band next year! "Davie, I just wanted to contact you to say, ‘thank you VERY much, indeed’ to you and your band members for performing last Friday evening at the annual Grange Dyvours Tennis Club ‘Snow Ball’ and making it the tremendous success that it was. I have been to many weddings, ceilidhs and parties over the years and danced to many bands and I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt, that ‘The Big Shoogle’ stands head and shoulders above the rest. Who would have thought that weaving in Pink Floyd and Deep Purple tracks in the middle of a Dashing White Sergeant would have worked but it did! You were an absolute pleasure to deal with, before our event; you all drove a considerable distance to arrive, at exactly the time requested, to set up all your equipment then, after our dinner, you returned to put on the most amazing performance. Some of our (non-Scottish) members had never danced some of the dances before but you made sure to talk everyone through what was expected, as a warm up, before the mayhem began. My face was sore laughing, at the end of some of those dances. Just brilliant. Our ‘Snow Ball’ on Friday evening was an astounding success and we have you to thank for that. Absolutely first class. P.s. Also, thanks for taking our booking for our ball, next Christmas. I wanted to get in quick to secure you as I know how much in demand you are! "

"We recently had a conference at Chessington World of Adventures for our global HR people. We wanted to have a fun night to motivate the team so we hired Primed who performed as the ‘Rockaoke Band.’ After a few drinks to steady the nerves, the ladies (and two gents) took to the stage to belt out all the classics. What a superb night! The guys were consummate professionals, very friendly and approachable. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough."
