"Just a few lines to say a big "Thank You" to you and the band for playing at our party at Abbotskerswell Village Hall on Saturday night. Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely and said how much they loved the music and dancing. Sadly I twisted my knee badly during the first dance (a recurring injury so quite expected) so I plodded around for the first two dances and then watched the guests skipping through their moves."

"We hired Phil for our wedding in November 2023… I heard his voice from a friend’s event, and just loved his voice, he was really easy to chat to and made us both feel comfortable . "Last night at Whighams we had a world music night which was one of the best nights we have ever had. First up Bossa Nova & MPB. For the last few months I have been lucky enough to work with Sergio and Kevin in this trio playing Brazilian music. We met at a jam session organised by Ash Gupta and are playing regularly. For me it is a welcome change and an opportunity to play a different style. Next up we had a fantastic band from Latvia playing a highly melodic jazz funk set which went down really well and was appreciated by the audience. Finally the evening was closed off with a fantastic flamenco set which was just terrific, I knew what Danielo Olivera and his group would do and was sure the Whighams crew would love it and they did! An excellent and very memorable night that I was delighted to be involved with and a highlight of the music program that Kevin and Graeme Knox put together. "

"Martin played at our wedding & was absolutely amazing. We met him by chance whilst he was playing a gig in a pub. We exchanged details & as promised, he got in touch the following day. From booking to performance, Martin was incredible. He has huge talent & got everyone dancing with his choice of songs ( we left that to him but he did offer the option of choosing our own) we were confident he wouldn't let us down. "I first came across Billy busking in Oxford. His skilful playing caught my ear instantly and I was hooked. I researched him, listened to him online and wanted him to play for our reception drinks at our wedding. All the communication with him was excellent. On the day itself Billy was perfect, his repertoire consists of a great balance for everyone. So many people were saying how incredible he was and even the staff at the venue, were asking me where I found him. I can only hope Billy has continued success. I recall a moment at our wedding, Billy was playing a Queen song, I looked around and everyone was just having the best time drinking pimms enjoying the music. Thanks Billy for the memories! I couldn’t recommend you enough, you are so talented."
