Solo Musicians for hire in Barnstaple, Devon

"James was great from start to finish! He was punctual and professional and gave us advice on timings etc prior to the event. My mother-in-law (the birthday girl) was stuck in traffic so unfortunately missed majority of the first set. However, James kindly agreed to rejig his sets to accommodate her arrival. Many people commented not just on James’s ability to play the piano but what a genuinely lovely person he was too. Would highly recommend!!"

"Matt played at our wedding on Friday for our ceremony and drinks reception, and all we can say is… WOW! From the moment he started playing, he created the most amazing atmosphere. His guitar playing is incredible, his voice is absolutely unreal, and every single song was played to perfection. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to be part of our day. We had so many compliments from our guests, and we lost count of the number of people asking us where we’d found him because they thought he was so brilliant! Not only is Matt unbelievably talented, but he’s also one of the friendliest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet. His passion for music shines through in every performance, and it honestly made our day even more special. We genuinely can’t recommend Matt enough. Booking him was one of the best decisions we made, and it definitely won’t be the last time we book him. We already can’t wait to listen to him again! Thank you, Matt, for helping make our wedding day so unforgettable. If you’re looking for a wedding musician, look no further – he’s simply the best! Molly & Sam July 17th 2026 xoxo"

"I have had the pleasure of listening to Steph sing for nearly 10 years now. She is a very talented singer and song writer. A beautiful voice that we never tired of. Steph engages her audience superbly, and creates a fantastic atmosphere regardless of the audience size. She has the capability of singing a range of songs that suit everyone. Steph is quite simply amazing!"

"We honestly couldn’t recommend Robin highly enough! What an absolute superstar. ⭐️ Robin played at our wedding last week, which was a two day celebration, and he was incredible from start to finish. On the first evening, we had a sit down dinner followed by drinks, and Robin provided the most amazing acoustic set. He sang all of the best songs, and so many of our guests commented on just how incredible his voice was. He finished his set with Oasis Wonderwall, which saw me, the groom, our bridal party and friends all standing together with our arms around one another, singing along. It was such a special and memorable way to end the first night, before we all headed off to bed full of excitement for the main event the following day. Robin then DJ’d our wedding reception in the evening, and absolutely smashed it. We also hired a saxophonist, who plugged into Robin’s setup and played alongside him. My family genuinely thought they had played together loads of times because of how seamlessly they worked together when, in fact, they had never met before and had only had a very brief conversation before the event! They were absolutely brilliant together. Robin then DJ’d for the rest of the evening and kept the dance floor completely full right until the very last minute. The atmosphere was incredible, and he played such a huge part in making the evening so much fun. Robin was professional, talented, incredibly easy to work with and just an all round lovely guy. He went above and beyond, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to be part of our wedding. We would highly, highly recommend Robin to anyone looking for live music and a DJ for their wedding or event. What a superstar! 🎶🤍"

"Nerissa Simmone absolutely smashed performing at our wedding, all our guests loved her presence and voice. The songs she picked were perfection and she created the soundtrack to our special day. Not only is she exceptionally talented, she's also the kindest soul with the most wonderful vibe. I can't recommend her highly enough."

"AK was absolutely brilliant. He’s not just a great sax player, he actually knows how to read the room. He interacts with guests, gets involved with the vibe and somehow manages to fit into whatever music the DJ is playing. One minute he’s playing chilled background music, the next he’s got everyone dancing. Even the kids were getting involved! Really professional, friendly and easy to work with. He definitely knows how to bring some energy to an event — without making it all about himself. Would 100% book him again."
