"We hired Mick to come and play for us on NYE, from the off the communication was great and his fee was very competitive. Mick travelled from Liverpool to see us in Lancaster and made the night, playing 2 hours guitar music and then had the room up and dancing with his DJ set. Outside of his professional and friendly attitude, he was also great with the customers, including some very demanding ones ! (Sorry Micky) this just showed even more his personality and people skills. We’ve already asked him back for the summer ! "

The event took place at Lloyd's of London to an audience of just under 5,000 people and livestreamed globally. She was an absolute joy to work with; coming up with the pieces to perform which were so fitting for the occasion. She totally understood the brief and her performance of both pieces were not only incredibly moving to everyone, but also the highlight of the event. I can't recommend her enough or thank her enough for being such a special part of our event. It's a day we shall never forget."

Each event is different but the typical performance time for wedding musicians is 2 x 45 minutes sets within a 2 hours period. Some acts are happy to play longer sets or additional sets. Often, breaks can be negotiated but you should be aware that the price may increase if the musicians need to be onsite for a longer period of time.
You should always check whether or not your act is prepared to play outdoors. Weather conditions such as wind, rain, or extreme temperatures can affect the performance and the instruments. If you are planning an outdoor event you should be prepared to offer a flat surface for performers as well as a cover in case of unexpected rain.
Booking wedding musicians as early as possible increases the chance of securing their availability on your event date, particularly during busy times of the year. However, many acts also accept last minute bookings, and we have successfully arranged performances for clients with just a few hours' notice.
Most wedding musicians are self-contained and provide their own sound equipment which is suitable for typical situations. If your event is to be held in a large venue, or you have more than 300 guests, we recommend that additional sound equipment should be used. Always ask your act about their sound system requirements. Some wedding musicians have lighting systems, but most usually will charge extra for this or recommend a third party supplier for you to use.
The cost of hiring musicians can vary significantly depending on the type of act. The average price is currently £454. Budget-level acts may be available for as low as £22, while top-tier acts can command prices as high as £3304.
