About / Biography

London based Banish Misfortune Irish Ceili Band is both an Irish band and a ceilidh band. If you want Irish songs and tunes, played café style, the band provides an excellent Irish trio, comprising guitar/vocals, fiddle and bass to sing well known Irish songs mixed with rip roaring jigs and reels that are guaranteed to fill the dance floor.

Add a dance caller and you have the Banish Misfortune Ceilidh Quartet. Don’t worry if some of your guests have never danced ceilidh before. The band’s entertaining dance caller will start with easy dances that everyone can join easily join in with and the dance floor will soon be full. The caller will tailor the dances to suit your needs. If you want a Scottish feel, “Strip The Willow” and “The Dashing White Sergeant” will be included. No Irish ceili is complete without “The Siege of Ennis”!

With a decade’s experience of providing superb Irish nights, ceilidhs and barn dances for weddings, parties and corporate events, Banish Misfortune Irish Ceili Band is one of the best ceili party bands on offer in London. Your event is in safe hands with Ruth and the guys, who will make sure that every detail of your event is thought through in advance.
