Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I require a singular 13amp mains power socket.

For events where no main power can be provided (e.g. boat trips / fields), I provide a large battery pack which enables me to play in areas without mains electricity. All my equipment is PAT tested, and I have full public liability insurance.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

I can either provide my own large sound system, or plug into a DJ desk and interface with their system. All of my equipment is entirely wireless so I can dance and interact with guests while still being mic'd up.

What information do you require about a venue?

I require where / which room in the venue I will be performing in, as well as the best way to access that room to load my equipment in.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

I can provide a Spotify playlist for in-between my sets. Also, if you or one of your guests would like to plug your own phone in to my sound system, I can provide the lead for that.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

There are too many to choose from, but one of my favourite gigs was when I performed in the largest room in London (at Grosvenor House Hotel), for a corporate rebranding. I changed the colour of the lights on my sax to their new brand colours (pink, blue and purple) and performed the big reveal!

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I love Lovely Laura, and used to watch all of her videos to learn how to interact with guests and get everyone dancing!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I first started my LED ibiza style sax act while I was studying for my masters in music at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and am delighted to say that this has been my full time job for 2 years now!

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

Any event where people will be dancing! I love to get involved and perform in the middle of the dancefloor, you will never find me hiding away on a stage or in the corner!

Do you perform at destination weddings?

Absolutely, and I love performing at them! I've performed at a few destination weddings, including Gibraltar, Lake Como, Mykonos and Chamonix. I can help you plan the details, and make sure everything is perfect.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I will arrive one hour before the performance. Typically, set-up takes 30 to 40 minutes, depending on access and other factors such as size of room.

Usually, I play two or three sets of 45-minutes each - depending on what you want!

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, although if rain is looking likely I have to insist on some cover, as water and electrical equipment don't mix well!

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Absolutely. You are more than welcome to pick as many songs from my set list as you want. If you have a couple of specific requests which aren't on my list, I'm more than happy to learn those songs for you as well.

Also, if you have booked a DJ, and would like me to perform alongside them, then I can perform to literally any song they play completely on the fly. That's what years and years of practice get you!

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

"High energy performer, who gets everyone on the dance floor with his dazzling LED sax"
