Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I would need a large enough space for myself and PA - ideally against a wall where I am not in the way of guests, with access to power. I would ideally need 1 parking space.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

I am completely self sufficient, I can provide a PA system but no lighting.

What information do you require about a venue?

I would need the address and a contact number for the venue so that I can load in and park.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

I am very happy to play music from Spotify through my PA before, after and in-between my sets. I can choose the music for this myself or let the client choose the music in advance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

The best gig I've played was an original one supporting Texas to 5000 people in Inverness & Stirling in 2022.

I have played countless wonderful weddings, one of my favourites was a festival themed wedding where they had different bands play throughout the day. I always find singing at the ceremonies incredibly moving and it's an honour to sing people down the aisle.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Alanis Morrisette, Joni Mitchell, Corinne Bailey Rae

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I have been gigging professionally for the past 8 years. I began by busking on the streets and stations of London, from there I started playing pub gigs, restaurants, weddings and all the weird and wonderful private events you can imagine. I've played outside Wembley at the Euros to thousands of football fans, at City Hall at a citizenship ceremony, supporting Wet Wet Wet & Tony Hadley on tour, to birthday parties, house concerts and festivals. You name it, I've played it.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I really love playing weddings, there's nothing more touching than singing a bride down the aisle - I always find it quite emotional so I'm often trying to get through a song without crying.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I always try to be nice and punctual in every job that I book.

Generally, with such a small set up it only takes me 5-10 minutes to get set up ready to play, but I always leave myself much more time to soundcheck and mentally prepare before a performance.

For pub/restaurant gigs I tend to arrive around 30 minutes before my set time

For weddings I aim to arrive and set up around 1-1.5 hours before guests are due. This way I can set up and soundcheck without anybody walking in or arriving early and hearing the aisle song (which is often a secret)

Are you happy to perform outside?

I have a battery powered amplifier which allows me to perform outside - I do ask that you let me know about this in advance so I am dressed appropriately.

If it is an extremely hot day I ideally would be under cover so not in direct sunlight, and understandably I cannot play outside if is raining (even a little bit) as I cannot risk my equipment getting wet - it's always worth discussing options incase the weather suddenly takes a turn.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Ideally, if it's a pub gig or wedding reception where I'm playing for a long period of time, I prefer if clients allow me to use my judgement on setlist. I have had private gigs before where they've chosen the songs from my repertoire and order of them and it just never works as well because I am experienced in reading the crowd. (I am more than happy on these occasions to share my setlist and for clients to tell me if there are any DEFINITES or DEFINITELY NOTs on the list)

Wedding ceremonies are extremely special and I am very happy to learn specific songs for these. I would always have to make sure it is possible for me to do the song justice (eg. if you want Bohemian Rhapsody I'm probably not your best bet) but most songs I can make work in my own style.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients have described me as punctual, friendly and professional. Some quotes below:

"wonderful singer" "an amazing musician" "she gave our engagement party that extra special touch"
"beautiful voice"
