Betty and The Bootleggers are an authentic vintage Rhythm & Blues band hailing from London.

Powerhouse, Betty Wilde, is influenced by the femme fatale collective of the 1950's Rhythm & Blues and Blues legends such as Ruth Brown, LaVern Baker, Big Maybelle, Mary Ann Fisher, Big Mama Thornton and Varetta Dillard as well as Howlin Wolf, Little Richard (fatale in his own deadly way) and the queen of Chicago Blues Koko Taylor. This eclectic mix of artists feature in their sets guaranteed to keep your feet stomping, hips and arms swinging all through the night until the early morn! It’s not to be missed.

In addition to our authentic 1950's set we offer a set of 'Neo Vintage' songs which is a vintage take on your modern classics. Think Britney Spears surf rock style or Artic Monkeys in swing big band style. This set is guaranteed to get everyone singing along to their fave anthms of the 1990's/2000s'.

We can also throw in some regular function songs for good measure. Please see our repertoire for all the details. You get to tailor make your set specific to your event.

Betty and The Bootleggers play at a variety of venues and events such as Vintage Festivals, Blues Bars, 1950's Events, Weddings, Functions, Corporate Events and Private Parties.

We also cater for a more relaxed night of Jazz from the 1940s/50's including Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn if you're looking for something more laid back. This ser is perfect for daytime wedding set or drinks reception.

As well as performing as a 4 piece band they can come as a duo, trio, quartet, 5 piece or if you are feeling like really having your socks blown off we can add piano and a larger brass section. The band fee is reflected in the size of the line up. We range from £1000 to £2,000 plus.
