Ben Frampton is a Leeds-based drummer known for his versatility, technical precision, and dynamic stage presence, involving proficiency across multiple genres.
While being mentored by João Figueiredo, a strong technical foundation was discovered and a wide range of musical styles were heavily explored. Frampton's influences include Jeff Porcaro and Simon Phillips (Toto), Bernard Purdie, John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), and Stewart Copeland (The Police). Studying these legendary drummers helped shape his signature style, balancing precision, power, and groove.
At the end of 2018, Frampton co-founded No Redemption with Louie Appleyard (guitar/vocals) and Ashudeep Saggu (bass), who was later replaced by Flynn Watson. The band quickly built a reputation for their hard-hitting sound and high-energy performances, standing out in the Leeds music scene. Through relentless rehearsals, song writing, and live shows, No Redemption has continued to grow, with Frampton’s drumming playing a key role in their dynamic and powerful sound.
His hard work and dedication was noticed by Billy Memphis, the frontman of The North of which he was asked to join. As their drummer, he recorded on their debut single, "Changin’ People", which surpassed an astonishing 10,000 streams on Spotify. During this time, he was given the opportunity to perform at First Direct Arena as part of Leeds Junior Conservatoire. However, in early 2024, his commitment to No Redemption led to conflicts with The North, and he parted ways with the band to focus on his primary musical projects.
With extensive live performance and recording experience, Frampton has since worked with artists/ bands such as Cezza Sean, See The Sky and Verdigris.
In building a career as a session drummer and working with artists across different styles/ genres, he has brought his distinct drumming style to a variety of projects.
Frampton’s adaptability, dedication, and passion for music make him a standout drummer in the UK scene. With each new opportunity, he continues to prove his place as both a powerful performer and a hard working artist.

A five piece drum kit would be used, including two crash cymbals, a ride cymbal and hi- hats.
Breakables can be provided, e.g. snare drum, bass drum pedal and cymbals.
I would need to know any specific details to help to find the venue and the right place to load in equipment.

The best gig I've ever played has got to be at a talent festival at Leeds First Direct Arena in 2023. It was amazing to be a part of one of the only bands chosen to perform there, performing to a crowd of over 5000 people!
My main influences include bands like Toto, Steely Dan, The Police and Yellowjackets. In regards to a favourite song, it's very difficult to pin point one in particular as there are so many. One album I've been listening to a lot is Pat Metheny Group's Imaginary Day!
I played my first proper gig when I was 16. I was in a band called The North. After that, We got gigs at least twice a month for the 8 months that I was a part of it! I've played at most venues in Leeds and gained some recording experience along the way too in my other projects!
I love to perform at band showcase events!
If it's a recording session, I like to arrive two hours early in order to set up equipment, but also to warm up. For a live show, I aim to arrive on time for the load in.
Always!
In short yes! Just tell me what to play and I'll get the job done.
