Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
It would have to be Glastonbury.
I have been most influenced by The Blues Brothers. I know its a film and not technically an artist but the films are what introduced me to amazing music, especially Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and James Brown.
I have been a professional drummer for many years and have played on board cruise ships, in west end theatres and many other theatres up and down the country. I have been a a DJ for the last 5 years playing at weddings, corporate events and night clubs.
I love playing at all types of events, but I have to say weddings are my favourite. I love the challenge of playing lots of different genres and trying to piece random songs together in a way that keeps the dance floor pumping
Yes my Prices can come up and down depending on the specific requirements of the event.
I usually arrive around 2 hours before the start time, as I generally need about an hour to set everything up.
Set times are usually based on how you’d like the evening to run. For a typical wedding, the first dance would usually be around 8pm, and I’d play through until midnight.
The energy and style of the music will naturally go up and down throughout the evening depending on what’s happening — for example, during the evening buffet, the music may be brought down slightly before building the energy back up afterwards.
For a corporate event or party, I would usually start around 8pm and play through until midnight. However, I’m always happy to liaise with the organisers beforehand and tailor the timings and music to suit the client’s requirements and the way they want the event to run.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
Yes, I always encourage clients to send me a Spotify playlist before the event. I don’t use the playlist to simply play the songs you’ve selected, but instead use it to get a better idea of your musical tastes and favourite artists.
This helps me understand what you enjoy and make sure I have the right music prepared to suit you and your guests on the night.
High energy, reactive (to the dancefloor) and tasteful.
Yes, but within reason. If the room is really enjoying a certain genre or era and someone is asking for a song that I know will not work then I will more than likely not play it. Likewise if it could cause offence and contains offensive language then I will not play it.
The bride and groom will always get priority.
