Chattahoochee Duo are a professional husband and wife duo who have spent the last 7 years working together as musicians for various cruise lines. Most recently, they fronted a country band on ships based in the US and it was doing this that they fell in love with country music.
They have a large repertoire of songs, so they will always be able to provide the perfect playlist to suit your event, whether this is chilled background music or upbeat songs to get everyone singing along. They pride themselves on their ability to create a large sound using minimal effects - 2 acoustic guitars, 1 stomp box and 2 voices which harmonise beautifully.
After a fulfilling career travelling the world, Chattahoochee Duo are now back in the UK permanently and ready to provide quality entertainment for your event. They are really happy that country music is gaining popularity in the UK and are excited to be part of the hype!

We require somewhere to unload our equipment and then park. We also need a power socket. If performing outside and there is a chance of rain then we would need shelter to protect our equipment.
We bring our own PA system so sound is covered. We don't provide lighting.
Any directions that would help us find the venue and information about parking arrangements. Also the estimated number of guests so we can ensure our PA is suitable.
Yes we are more than happy to play music through Spotify.
We have been lucky enough to perform on some amazing cruise ships around the world. It's difficult to pick a favourite, but New Year's Eve in the main Atrium onboard the Norwegian Joy was amazing fun!
We love a variety of music but Sarah is particularly inspired vocally by Jennifer Nettles (Sugarland), Reba McEntire and Shania Twain. Ben's main inspirations are Tommy Emmanuel (who Ben considers to be the greatest acoustic guitarist of all time) Chet Atkins and Doc Watson.
Ben began learning guitar at 15 and graduated from Platform 1 with a Degree in Commercial Music. He started his own function band on the Isle of Wight before embarking on a career as a musician on cruise ships. Sarah trained in Musical Theatre at the Urdang Academy in London and performed for a number of years as a dancer and singer in various pantomimes and theatre shows. Sarah and Ben met in 2018 when they were matched together as a duo for a short contract and have stayed together ever since!
We always enjoy playing, but our favourite events are always private functions because we know exactly what the client wants and can personalise the setlist! We are always willing to be flexible with our set and take requests at the gig as we have a large repertoire from working on cruise ships
Our set up is minimal and usually takes 45 minutes maximum to unload our equipment and set up. We are happy to play anything from 2 - 4 sets as long as we get a 15 minute break in-between. We are happy to play hour sets, but in our experience a 45 minute set works better.
Yes, we love performing outside as long as it is mild weather (cold weather can damage the guitar necks). We prefer to be in the shade and if there is a slight chance of rain we would need to be covered to protect our equipment.
Always happy to take requests and work with the client to come up with a rough setlist for the day. We are happy to have the sets planned or to improvise a little on the day depending on the crowd and how they are responding. If we have enough notice, we are happy to learn requests.
Clients usually comment on our vocal harmonies and are impressed by the fact that we create such a full sound with only guitars and vocals. Ben's fingerstyle playing allows him to play lots of different parts of the music all at once (I.e bass and melody) and his stomp box really fills out the sound and gets people moving along to the music. Audiences also comment on Sarah's vocal tone and how it lends itself to country music.
