One of my favourite performances was playing for X Factor winner Matt Terry at Sony Records in London. Alongside live events, I also record acoustic guitar for artists around the world, creating custom arrangements and recordings across a wide range of styles. I’ve also been fortunate to perform at venues across the UK including The Shard, Sony Records London, and beautiful wedding and event venues such as Prestwold Hall, Cleaver & Wake and Barnsdale Hotel. Every event is different, and bringing live music to special moments is always the highlight.

I’ve been influenced by a wide range of artists over the years, from fingerstyle acoustic players and singer-songwriters through to bands known for strong melodies and memorable songwriting. Artists such as John Mayer, Tommy Emmanuel, Ed Sheeran and The Beatles have all shaped the way I approach arranging music for acoustic guitar.

If I had to pick a favourite artist, it would probably be The Beatles for their songwriting and timeless catalogue. As for the greatest song of all time, that’s almost impossible to answer, but ‘Here Comes The Sun’ would have to be right up there for me.

I graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Music and have worked as a professional guitarist for over 20 years. During that time, I’ve performed at weddings, corporate events and private functions across the UK, as well as recording acoustic guitar for artists around the world.

I started gigging through a passion for live performance and creating music for people to connect with. What began as performing and developing my craft gradually grew into a full-time career, and I still love being able to bring live music to special occasions and memorable events today.

Weddings are definitely my favourite type of event to play at. I love being part of such an important day and helping create the atmosphere for moments people remember for years afterwards. From welcoming guests as they arrive through to ceremonies and drinks receptions, live acoustic guitar can completely shape the feel of a day, and being part of that is something I never take for granted.

Wedding ceremonies are usually around 30–60 minutes, drinks receptions often 1.5–2 hours, and wedding breakfasts or corporate events can be tailored to suit timings on the day. For longer bookings, I generally perform in live sets with short breaks where appropriate.

I use a flexible setup, including battery-powered equipment where needed, although I do require suitable cover and protection from adverse weather conditions to ensure the safety of both equipment and performance quality

Clients are very welcome to have input into the music. I have a wide repertoire of songs to choose from, but I’m always happy to discuss preferences and special requests to help make your event feel personal. For weddings in particular, I can often arrange songs specifically for fingerstyle acoustic guitar, including songs that may not already be part of my repertoire.
