About / Biography

Hi, I’m Greg — a singer and acoustic guitarist from Paisley with a passion for live performance and connecting with audiences.

Whether I’m delivering timeless classics or putting a fresh spin on modern favourites, I aim to create an atmosphere that’s both engaging and memorable. From the anthemic sounds of Deacon Blue and Kings of Leon to unique renditions of songs like The Chain and Pencil Full of Lead, I bring energy, emotion, and authenticity to every set.

My love for music shines through in every performance, and I’m committed to making each show an experience that truly resonates with the crowd.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I use a line array system. So would only require 2x plug sockets and enough space for me to stand and sing.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

I can provide my own PA - MACKIE SRM-FLEX, MIC, MIC STAND, LEADS, GUITAR however if the venue can provide the Pa that would great.

What information do you require about a venue?

Is there a sound limiter?
Does the venue have a PA?

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, provided there is a stable internet connection/signal in the area I have subscriptions to Spotify and Apple Music.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

The best gig I ever played was at the Paisley food and drink festival with my band where we played our music together for the first time.

The best venue I’ve ever played in would have to be Nice n Sleazy back in 2019. The sound and the crowd were incredible.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I’m most influenced by Frightened Rabbit, Twilight Sad and Death Cab for Cutie. Their songs introduced me to some of the best music I’ve ever heard. The greatest song of all time…Let Down - Radiohead.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I have been gigging full time for the last 2 years now and have loved every minute of it. I got into gigging when I moved from EK to Paisley around 5 years ago. Only decided to make it a full time career when I realised how much I loved entertaining people. I have over 30+ contacts and venues that I work with currently and previously that can all advocate for what I do.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I love playing in traditional bars around Fort William/Highlands. One of the best bar gigs I’ve played was in Mallaig at The Steam Inn. The crowd loved it as they weren’t so used to hearing certain songs or having live music in general. There’s a great appreciation for live music outside of the city areas that goes unnoticed. I also love the travelling too.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I arrive half an hour to an hour before Start time and finish 15 mins early, accommodating 2-3 x 45min sets.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, but require power and cover from rain or shine.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Happy to discuss the playlist any songs outside my repertoire may be chargeable.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Most of the clients I work with would describe me as hard working, entertaining and polite. I love what I do and that really shows in the work I do.
