Reviews of GrooveWave - Ibiza Sax & Percussion Duo

We booked GrooveWave for our wedding this past weekend and Jim and Andy were amazing! They knew exactly how to bring the party, playing DJ sets between each of their Live sets so we had hours of continuous music and dancing.

Jim's communication prior to the day was great, which eliminated any stress on the day. The guests loved the percussion and sax!

10/10, we will be recommending to anyone who wants a great party. Thanks again!!

I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside GrooveWave at a recent wedding and they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish!

As a wedding planner, they were genuinely a dream supplier to work with. They were incredibly professional and organised, but also such fun, friendly people who brought an amazing energy to the day. When timings or plans changed, they adapted within seconds without any fuss and were always eager to help wherever they could.

And the performances… incredible! I had so many guests and even other suppliers coming up to me throughout the evening asking, “Who is this band?!” because they were so impressed. They created such a brilliant atmosphere and had everyone enjoying themselves.

Professional, adaptable, hardworking and seriously talented. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend GrooveWave to my couples and I really hope I get the opportunity to work alongside them again!

Cannot recommend GrooveWave enough - we had them perform for our wedding at The Manor House hotel in Castle Combe on the 10th August and they were AMAZING! So much fun, got everyone dancing! Completely got our vibe and what we wanted, and were so lovely as well! Would definitely recommend!

Jim and Andrew were unbelievable at our wedding. They smashed their set and all of our wedding guests loved them. Great energy, vibe and overall experience.

Jim was really helpful throughout the planning to ensure music stayed true to their Ibiza style but catered for what we wanted / guests would enjoy. I was travelling and living overseas throughout and Jim was really great.

Honestly couldn’t speak highly enough of them and would recommend to anyone looking for an unreal live sax & percussion performance at their event.

Incredible.

Jim and Andy were the perfect musicians for our wedding, I cant recommend them more highly. They played 2 x 45 minute sets, performing 2 set lists we created together beforehand on Spotify. They were able to adapt to our specific song requests, starting with more contemporary Jazz and then going into more funk/disco/club anthems as the evening progressed. They are both so talented and it is clear they can really adapt to any genre. The vibe and energy they brought really set the tone for our evening party, and the feedback from our guests was awesome.

The whole process beforehand was really relaxed, all of us adding songs to the shared playlist and then having a couple of calls to talk through timings, requirements etc. They came the day before our wedding to set up all the equipment and make sure everything was working correctly. The then arrived well before their set on the day, and were really chilled even though we were overrunning by 30 mins or so. Their set up is amazing, great disco lights, smoke machine and a a really top quality sound system and mixing deck which they let us use for our own music and DJs before and after (I believe they also would offer this service if you wanted them to play music between sets). They even provided some percussion instruments for guests to jam along with - which really added to the party/carnival style atmosphere.

Two of the nicest guys and both mad talented. They really are the perfect choice if you want an up-beat and high energy dance floor - and you value good music!

Wow, what to say about Groovewave. Not only are they extremely talented musicians and performers who know how to fit a brief and put on a fantastic show, they are two genuinely lovely guys with a calm, friendly demeanour and an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. They had great communication from the get go, with phone calls and WhatsApp groups, we set up shared Spotify playlists to curate our evening and they smashed every part of it. Our guests were blown away with the fun energy of the evening, the lights, the smoke machine, the instruments - we couldn't have asked for anything more suited to the vibe we were looking for. We would 100% recommend Jim & Andy for any event, and want to thank you again for playing such an important and funky role on our big day! <3

Jim made our party! He rocked up and straight away slotted in so well with us all. He was fun, VERY cool, and engaging. Everyone loved him!!
He brought other instruments the group could enjoy too, so it was a very interactive session. He also gave a 'lesson' on how to play the bongos (we were all terrible!!!) But it was so much fun. Thanks Jim! You're ace!!

Just want to say a massive thank you to Jim Davies for one of the best experiences and events I’ve ever been part of. Jim played his congas at the top of Glastonbury Tor for a group of 20 of us. This turned into 100 people singing and dancing away through the sunset and into late in the night. It was a extraordinary experience. Jim was top level on the Congas and even helped us carry them right to the top of the hill. We will be bringing Jim to every event we have moving forward! THANK YOU ????

Jim added a really great twist to the party!!!!! He had the playlist in advance and played along to the tracks the DJ played transforming the tracks with a funky beat!! Absolute gent and would certainly recommend
