Polly her band played at my parents 50th wedding anniversary and did a great job of livening up the evening whilst being sensitive to those who wanted to sit and chat. They played a range of songs from across the decades which went down really well, evidenced by the full dancefloor.
They were really friendly, courteous and professional and had nice interactions with the guests. Thanks Guys!

As a wedding venue we get to listen to a huge range of bands with prices varying from £500-£5,000. Sadly price has nothing to do -or so it seems- with professionalism, personality and ability!

Jolly Polly and the Pirates is very much at the bottom end of this price spectrum, but very, very much at the top of the performance ratings! To sum them up? They are musicians with really nice personalities who have great technical ability and understanding of sound, mixing and the audience. On bass guitar and vocals is Polly, who is probably one of the most energetic singers we have come across, with great variations, presence and depth. On lead guitar (and keys) Jon has great technical skills and enthusiasm for his role in the band, and on drums (and occasionally keys at the same time!!) a drummer who actually loves his drums - at last someone who realises drums are an instrument, not an object to take out your aggression on, perhaps that is down to his experience and talent.

Individually they are great - as a band they are awesome! - Certainly at the top of our list and always hoped for!

I've seen jolly polly and the pirates perform at our local pub and had to book them for my dads surprise 50th birthday party! They are fun and very lively and we all had a great night!!

Jolly Polly & the Pirates are fan-bloody-tastic! They do an excellent gig and the songs had us all singing along. We all loved you being here and if we could have got away with it, we'd have had you playing all night. Looking forward to the next gig in October!

I wasn't going to have a band for my birthday party but after seeing JP&tP play at a local event months before I changed my mind. In the lead up to the event they were fantastic and very flexible around set times, volume (it was a garden party in a residential street) and the booking was so easy and demand free. They even practiced a personal request for me. They made my party into the awesomeness it was! Everyone was dancing, the play list was fantastic, including "Blame it on me" and all my guests commented on what a fab band they were and a great night they'd had. There was even a lot of Jolly Polly jacket envy going on!! My only disappointment was they confessed to not actually being real pirates but did agree to keep that between us. Thank you Jolly Polly and the Pirates you were fantastic!!!!!

Great set list from an accomplished, lively band. Definitely worth seeking out - you will not be disappointed.

Jolly Polly and the Pirates were absolutely brilliant, they kept everyone on the dance floor singing their hearts out! We even had a dance off, and when we didn't want the night to end they played a few bonus classics! We can't thank them enough for playing at our wedding, and would definitely recommend them to all of our friends and family! Thank you again.

Individually talented singer & musicians, and collectively they are sensational - probably the best new band on the scene.

I've seen them 3 or 4 times and plan to go again, I had such fun evenings every time.

If you are looking for a good all round band for your pub, party or wedding, The Five Bells recommends Jolly Polly and The Pirates. They put on a fantastic show Friday and were loved by all. Well done guys!

The band were really really good, everyone really enjoyed it. They played two fantastic sets, and everyone was dancing. I couldn’t have asked for a better evening. What was really nice is that I asked for a particular song and they played it perfectly. It meant a lot to me and my wife. It was great a really fantastic evening. If you get the chance, go and book them up!
