We need a performance space of at least 8 metres x 5 metres. We also require at least 2 x 13 amp power sockets and easy access for loading.
Yes, we provide a full PA and simple lighting rig. For additional cost we can also provide a sound engineer and a more sophisticated sound set up.
We would like to know if there are is likely to be any difficulty finding the venue, and also advice on parking.
Certainly. We have multiple playlists available or can use the client's own if preferred.
With this lineup the best gig would have to be a recent show at Lil' Nashville in London. This is the most popular country music venue in the capital and we played to an enthusiastic crowd of 300 people.
We're a female-fronted country band so Dolly Parton of course - we always feature a tribute to her. Emmylou Harris is another major influence. More recently we've been impressed by the songwriting skills of award winners like Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson and Maren Morris, and among the boys, we love Chris Stapleton.
Two of us were previously in a country band and decided to get back on the road with some talented recruits. We've all played various kinds of music, for example our pedal steel player Paul is in a sea shanty band and our drummer plays jazz funk. The cross-pollination is bound to help us in our quest to become the leading country band around.
Of course weddings and birthdays are always joyful events but we love playing for any crowd who just want to listen to some fine country music and have a little fun!
We certainly include the all-time greats and several crowd-favourites in the set. We also like to play the newer artists that have emerged in the past few years, especially as our audience often has younger members who listen to country radio and know all the latest hits.
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We are happy to play 2 x 45 or 2 x 60 minute sets, or longer if required, and we generally take a 15 minute break between sets.
Absolutely we are, and have done so many times in these increasingly dry summers. We would request some kind of cover due to our unpredictable climate and the need to keep everything dry for safety reasons. Playing on grass isn't easy as the drums need a stable base, and of course there needs to be a power supply close by.
We guarantee to play any song as a first dance, provided we have sufficient notice, and are happy to learn one or two more songs if requested. Apart from these, we have a repertoire that can be seen on our website.
Previous clients have praised our singer for her outstanding vocals and for the musicianship of our instrumentalists. We always seek to engage with our audience and ensure that everyone feels involved in the show, whether simply enjoying the music or getting on the dance floor and maybe even trying a little line dancing.
Not at the moment but this is something we'd be happy to look into.
