A versatile solo vocalist and pianist, covering a vast range of all styles and genres from the 40s-present day, think of me as a 'human jukebox', with an eclectic mix of songs, from pop (classic/80s/modern) all the way through to rock (classic, indie, etc), soul, Motown, funk, disco, jazz, easy listening, country, blues and on occasion, musical theatre.
Expect a variety of sets to suit any occasion, I can adapt my sets to suit whatever vibe or atmosphere, from the more relaxing, laid back, background music sets to suit perhaps daytime wedding music, hotel restaurant or cocktail bar sets, to the more upbeat and faster tempo sets, perfect for bars, pubs and any event that requires some party numbers, I can adapt to any type of of event.
I always strive to ensure my sets are fresh, full of nostalgic, easy listening or party bangers, constantly updating, tweaking, putting my own spin on songs, and even piecing together interesting medleys that are guaranteed to liven up any set.
I have multitides of experience as a solo vocalist/pianist, performing at weddings, pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, care homes, holiday parks and more, across Scotland and further afield. As well as this, I'm the female vocalist and keys player for my wedding band, Cassien, performing at weddings, corporates, events, functions and parties across Scotland.

I would require firstly, sufficient parking that's near wherever I'd be loading into. I'd also require a space that's big enough for a digital piano and PA with available power sockets nearby for me to use.
I will always bring my own PA and some simple lighting.
I would require information on the parking, load-in, the space I'd be performing in and if they serve vegan options for food, if required.
I can provide a Spotify playlist for in-between sets if required. I'm also more than happy for the clients to send me any playlists they've curated or if they have any specific requests.
So as well as my piano, piano stand, mic, mic stand, XLRs and jacks etc, I also bring a full PA including two Fender Fighter speakers with stands and kettle leads, Mackie 12 channel mixing desk, or a smaller Behringer speaker for venues that don't require a larger PA. I can also bring small party lights too.
I have done so in the past, but it can be time consuming and quite difficult to move all of my equipment and then set up somewhere else myself whilst your guests are mingling. I would advise that if you would prefer this, to perhaps ensure the space I'd be re-setting up in, is easy to navigate to and that there is enough time between the ceremony and drinks reception sets, as the time it can take to do this can really eat into the set timings.
All I ask is that there is sufficient space for an 80 key digital stage piano and PA set up, as well as power sockets. I would perform outside, but I would request that power be available through the venue and protection from the elements for myself and my gear, if it were to rain.
I don't actually remember a specific gig that stands out above all, there's certainly been gigs I've played that have had an amazing energy from the crowd, making it super enjoyable, I love the gigs where everyone is just in a party mood and are on the dance floor most of the night! Again, I don't really have a favourite venue, I've played too many nice ones to choose, but I do love a good barn or farm venue wedding, I love the rustic aesthetics of a barn wedding, plus they're generally in locations that have amazing views and are situated in beautiful parts of Scotland.
I have been influenced by many artists over the years; I grew up listening to ABBA, Queen, Stevie Wonder, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, Foreigner, BeeGees, The Beatles, 80s pop/rock, 90s/00s pop, Busted, McFly. During my teenage years, I listened to a lot of music from the likes of Adele, Ben Howard, John Mayer, Foo Fighters, Nothing But Thieves, Muse, Kasabian, Two Door Cinema Club, Taylor Swift, even musicals etc. But more so these days, I love bands and artists such as Olivia Dean, Spiritbox, Alice in Chains, Killswitch Engage, Turnstile, Bring Me The Horizon, Ghost, Incubus, Linkin Park, Lola Young, Mastodon, RAYE, Royal Blood, Supergrass, Teenage Wrist and many more. I don't really have a favourite artists per se, I have specific artists and songs I prefer to listen to dependant on my mood or if I'm driving, out walking or at the gym. In my opinion the greatest song of all time is Bohemian Rhapsody-an absolute classic by an iconic band, a song that can hard to cover!
I've been performing since I was very young-singing in church nativities and choirs, performing in school concerts and events, as well as competing in prestigious competitions with school bands (jazz, brass and wind bands), as well as performing for some notable events and places such as performances in Paris, a sporting event featuring Lord Seb Coe and an event at The Old Fruitmarket. I've also had experience performing on stage in musicals during my time studying HNC Musical Theatre at New College Lanarkshire. However, most of my performing experience comes from singing, playing keys and performing at weddings, functions, corporates, events, parties, pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, holiday parks and even care homes as a soloist and with my wedding band, across Scotland and even further afield. I have also had extensive experience in performing with original music projects, predominantly with my previous band Artax, playing headliners, supporting notable bands, playing festivals etc.
I generally love playing any event or venue, I love performing. However, weddings are always fun gigs, it's great to see everyone having a great time and enjoying themselves, and also how your performance provides that opportunity for people to just let go and have an amazing night!
I aim to be as versatile and broad as possible, think of me like a 'human jukebox', I have a very eclectic repertoire covering as many genres and styles as possible from the 40s-present day. I can do relaxed and stripped back sets or more upbeat and uptempo sets, depending on the vibe you are looking for.
Depending on the type of gig and what is required, my usual arrival time, is on average, an hour before the performance. However, I would arrive earlier for a wedding or a similar event in the event anything changes on the day. Again, dependant on the type of gig, I would normally perform up to 3 sets, ranging from 45 to 60 minutes.
Yes, as long as there is power available, a flat level surface, and in the event of any changes in weather, protection for myself and my equipment i.e. a gazebo.
The clients are able to request up to 3 song requests, but I am happy to adapt sets to suit their preferences. If a client would like to choose specific songs from my set list or ask for specific songs not to be played, I can certainly tailor sets to suit.
Previous clients would describe my performances as relaxing, versatile, a good mix of songs and genres and enjoyable to listen to.
I usually sing and play piano, however, I can also do a vocals and backing tracks set or I can add in some percussion or my vocal pedal to make things a little more interesting.
Yes, I can learn up to 3 songs of your choice i.e. aisle song or to add to the set. You can also curate your own set list from my full repertoire or choose any songs you would like or would not want.
Certainly, I can cover anything from ABBA to Shania Twain, The Beautiful South to Fleetwood Mac, Aretha Franklin to Elton John, Olivia Dean to Amy McDonald. For a broader idea, I cover genres such as pop (classic/80s/modern), rock (classic, indie, etc), soul, Motown, funk, disco, jazz, easy listening, country, blues and on occasion, musical theatre.
Yes, I can do, I can do a set during your meal/wedding breakfast and even wedding entertainment. I can also call ceilidh if you would like some ceilidh.
