PA for voice. (I have my own mic and lead if necessary) and depending on the set up - power for keyboard, bass and possibly drums if wanted mic’d. I have a very small PA system that works for small restaurants/bars but wouldn't be right for a large wedding or event space.
The band would need about 8x8meters of space, power sockets and parking for the musicians.
I have a small PA system for quieter/contained events but if a wedding or party is in a larger room, a PA would need to be provided for the band.
I do not have any lighting rig. This would need to be provided.
To ensure a smooth performance, we usually need the following details:
Directions and parking: Clear instructions for arrival, unloading, and parking.
Contact person: Who we should speak to on arrival for load-in, setup, and pack-out.
Power and equipment needs: Location of power outlets, any cables or electricity requirements, and whether a PA or additional equipment is available.
Storage/security: A safe place to store instruments and personal items during the performance (this could be a secure room or safe parking spaces).
Venue layout: Stage or performance area dimensions, floor surface, and ceiling height if relevant for a full band setup.
Timing details: Load-in and load-out windows, soundcheck times, and any event schedule considerations.
Access: Information on lifts, stairs, or other access limitations if we have larger equipment.
Having these details in advance helps us focus on delivering the best possible performance and ensures a seamless experience for you and your
Yes, I have the ability to plug in my spotify in between sets so there is music in between. If you prefer to provide a playlist, that's fine too.
A real career highlight was performing my headline show at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club to celebrate the release of my third album. Sharing new music with such an attentive, enthusiastic audience in one of the world’s most iconic jazz venues was an unforgettable experience a true milestone for any jazz musician.
I’ve been inspired by a range of jazz vocalists across generations, from legends like Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Chet Baker, and Tony Bennett to contemporary masters such as Sara Gazarek, Samara Joy, Kurt Elling, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Sinne Eeg, and Laila Biali.
My favourite song to perform is On the Sunny Side of the Street, while one of my favourite songs to simply listen to is Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. These pieces capture the joy, swing, and timeless spirit of jazz that I strive to bring to every performance.
I was raised in a musical family with 2 jazz musicians as parents so I was heavily influenced by that. Started performing with my own band in university and have been doing it ever since!
I especially love performing in jazz clubs, where I can invite people to share an intimate musical experience with my quartet. Private parties and small, focused concerts are also a particular favourite — when the audience is right there, fully engaged, it’s incredibly rewarding to connect with listeners in that way. These settings allow the music to breathe and create a real sense of shared enjoyment.
We typically arrive around one hour before the performance to allow time for setup and a quick soundcheck. Our standard format includes two 45–50 minute sets with a 20–30 minute interval between them.
We’re very happy to adapt to the needs of your event, whether that means arriving earlier for a full soundcheck or adjusting set times to fit around your schedule. The timings above tend to work best for most venues and event plans, ensuring a smooth flow and great sound throughout the evening.
Yes, we’re very happy to perform outdoors, provided there is suitable cover from sun or rain and a safe, reliable power supply close to the performance area. We also ask that the band has access to nearby facilities during breaks. With those arrangements in place, an outdoor performance can be a wonderful addition to any event.
Clients are very welcome to have input on the music. You can either select songs from our repertoire or leave the set list to us so we can read the room and keep the atmosphere flowing.
I’m also happy to learn up to three special requests in advance of the event, provided they suit the band’s style and instrumentation. This allows us to personalise the performance while ensuring everything fits seamlessly within the overall sound of the band.
Clients often describe our performances as familiar, uplifting, and effortlessly enjoyable. The music creates a welcoming atmosphere, guests recognise favourite tunes here and there, while the overall sound provides a stylish backdrop that enhances the occasion without overpowering it.
Whether we’re performing relaxed background jazz during dinner or a lively set to get people singing and dancing, the feedback is always that our music brings people together and adds a touch of elegance and joy to the event.
