Mark J played at our wedding ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast in Devon in June. He was absolutely superb! Very responsive and personable beforehand - nothing was too much trouble.

He went above and beyond by liaising with the venue directly and learning a piece of music that wasn’t in his standard repertoire. The theme tune to My Neighbour Totoro is not something that is very well known in UK, but works very well on the piano and Mark J relished the opportunity to play it!

He is very flexible and played in three different locations throughout the day, even setting up an electric piano outside for the drinks reception, which totally transformed the event. The music was brilliant and varied and we received lots of positive feedback from guests.

Mark J performed at our wedding and was absolutely brilliant.

We requested a song that wasn't in his repertoire for our ceremony exit and he was more than happy to prep this and it was brilliant! He then played throughout our drinks reception and moved the piano a couple of times to follow the majority of guests as they moved either inside or outside. Would highly recommend!

Mark J stepped in yesterday on the day of our wedding when storm darragh caused the musician for our ceremony to cancel. After a short discussion he picked up on what we wanted for the ceremony and drink reception. The guests remarked to me how good he was and he captured the atmosphere we wanted perfectly. We are so grateful to Jodie for coming in the storm to play for us, it really was beautiful music.

Great pianist. Highly recommended. When we first met Mark J we had no real idea of what we needed or wanted for music, and he was able to help guide us through what decisions we needed to make, how best to make them, as well as giving us a lot of advice about weddings in general. When we left, we felt a lot happier and were sure that we were ready to book him to perform at our wedding. Time passed, but everytime we needed to plan anything with Mark J, he left us feeling confident that he had everything in hand and nothing was too tricky. On the day, he turned up, quietly sorted out his equipment and exuded cool, calm and reassuring vibes to everybody around him. Mark J stands out not just because he can play piano particularly well, but because of everything else he brings with it. We had a brilliant ceremony, the entire thing went off perfectly, and it was in no small part because of Mark J's skill, professionalism and commitment to making our wedding an incredible day.

Mark J is the best pianist we could have wished for to play at our wedding! From initial contact, Mark J has been professional yet approachable and replied to emails very speedily - just what we needed when planning the wedding. We felt Mark J was a very reliable supplier; he talked us through the music selection process without applying any pressure, gave us some good advice and he checked-in with us in good time before the wedding. On the day, Mark J entertained our guests to rave reviews - we're so pleased he was a part of our day!

Mark J is such an incredible musician. He played at our wedding two days ago and the music was so so beautiful.
