Based in Essex, he started honing his craft at the young age of just 8 years old and has continued to pursue his passion for music ever since. Matt's musical Inspiration comes from a wide variety of influences, including Ed Sheeran, Queen, Elvis and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Over the years, Matt has accumulated an eclectic repertoire of hundreds of songs.

Connecting with guests of any age and music preference requires a unique skillset. Matt provides a fully unique & customisable experience for your special day- whether it’s a lively, engaging performance of popular songs to get you and your guests' feet moving or a more chilled, relaxing ambience of casual background music, Matt can provide it all.

He also performs live with a loop pedal to add an extra “wow” factor to his performances and also offers lighting and DJ services to compliment his acoustic performances.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I require 1 x 13 amp 240v supply and ideally 1.5m x 3m for my two PAs, mic stand, guitar and mixer. I am also able to supply a battery powered inverter if a power supply is not available. A parking space for my vehicle is also required.


Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

I provide all necessary sound equipment which includes 2 column PA's, digital mixer, loop pedal, microphones and instruments.


What information do you require about a venue?

I require the venue address, parking and loading information please including any time restrictions/event logistics that will affect me if possible.


Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes I can provide a playlist for in between sets that I will play over my PA, I can select the music for the playlist or my client is welcome to choose.

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

One of my favourite events was a local charity event at Lexden Wood Golf Club, where we managed to raise over £5000 for the East Anglians Childrens Hospice. It was a lively and enjoyable event and I was filled with much satisfaction knowing that our efforts all went towards a great cause.


Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Ed Sheeran and his Plus and Multiply albums are one of my biggest influences, teaching me my rhythmic strumming style and loop pedal skills. Queen/Freddie Mercury, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Elvis have also played a major part in my musical development. I love a wide range of music from all different eras and I always try to appeal to my entire audience with my performances.


What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I started gigging back in college and my performance has continued from there. I have performed at a range of venues in East Anglia including weddings, corporate events, private events and local festivals and also host open mic events.


What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I love to play any type of event whether it be a corporate, wedding or private event. I most enjoy playing when I know my audience are having a great time and are enjoying my music, this is my main priority providing a great enjoyable service for my audience.


When should I book my wedding/events entertainment?

Booking your wedding or event entertainment should ideally happen as early as possible, especially if your event falls during peak seasons (spring/summer or around holidays).

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I typically arrive 1 to 2 hours before my performance depending on event logistics and what is involved. I provide tailored experiences which can range typically a 2 x 45 minute sets or 3 x 45 minutes is most popular but 4 x 45 minutes, 2 x 60 mins, 2 x 90 minutes can all be provided to suit your event requirements.


Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes I enjoy playing outside, but shade a flat level surface and power is ideal (however I can supply a battery inverter if power is not available).


Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I can learn specific songs for my clients, but typically limit this to 5 songs due to the preparation. Clients are welcome to select songs from my repertoire.

My set lists generally consists of popular well known songs from a range of eras from modern day pop songs to 70s-80s rock covers right back to 50s - 60s rock and roll. The style will vary from lively up beat rhythms to slower melodic love songs and I will create a customisable set list to suit your event and the vibe that you are looking for. My priority is to ensure that all audience demographics are covered, everyone is having a good time and that the vibe of the music suits the occasion.


Do you learn special requests for events such as wedding ceremony's and first dances?

es I’d love to accommodate your special requests. I will require time of course to learn your songs if they are not already part of my repertoire but I am always open to your requests. There may be some songs that are not suitable for learning on guitar but I am generally able to cover the majority of genres to suit your needs.
