About / Biography

Gold & Platinum certified Sound Engineer with over 50,000,000 streams & 1000 shows on his record. Hundreds of shows on the same festival stages as The Cardigans, Liam Gallagher, The Chainsmokers, Smashing Pumpkins to name a few, as well as hundreds of corporate, wedding & educational events.

Oskari offers live sound & production services with his top notch equipment in the UK, and in Finland. He can bring Sennheiser In-ear monitors, mixer, and mics/di to mix FOH & MON too if you like.

Oskari is not only a technician, but actually an artist and a producer himself, which means he has a developed taste in sound. With his encyclopaedic musical history; playing in heavy metal bands, jazz ensembles and as part of the Universal Music signed indie trio Wedding Crashers, Oskari's understanding of different musical styles is highly advanced.

In 2014 Oskari was asked to join his musical heroes, celebrated Finnish stalwarts Scandinavian Music Group, with whom he has toured extensively as well as performing on three studio albums. He has engineered on the first two albums by a multi platinum selling Warner artist Ellinoora, who recently made an appearance on Ed Sheeran's 2Step. Currently works as an Electronic Music professor in the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

What are your basic technical requirements?

The venue should have a professional PA system installed. If the stage is elevated, it should be professionally set up, have sufficient space for all performers to fit in with their equipment comfortably, and leave some space for additional lighting to be installed around. At least a 1.5x1.5m area for FOH mixing position somewhere in the middle of space or side of stage. Any equipment I bring can be run off single phase 13Amp domestic sockets. If I bring a lot of my own equipment, at least 2 hours of time from load-in to soundcheck is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

Best gig must have been playing a festival show right before First Aid Kit on the Main Stage. Best Venue I have ever played in must have been an Band & Orchestra show at a sold out Musiikkitalo Concert Hall, Helsinki, Finland. That was amazing!

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Because of my strong background as a cover band musician to the biggest club and festival stages, I am highly skilled sound & lighting engineer for many genres and stage lineups. From reinforcing small acoustic sets into big spaces, all the way to balancing a 9-piece entertainment orchestra into a small room without making it too loud. If I had to pick a favourite artist, it would be Coldplay, and favourite song of all time would be I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I am a Gold & Platinum certified Sound Engineer with over 50,000,000 streams & 1000 shows on stage and in production on my record. Hundreds of shows on the same festival stages as The Cardigans, Liam Gallagher, The Chainsmokers, Smashing Pumpkins, as well as hundreds of corporate, wedding & educational events.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I love teching parties, corporate events, and live music shows in smaller spaces where it's packed and the atmosphere goes through the roof. These leave some of the fondest memories!

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I will reinforce the sound of anything that is healty & safe to do so.
