Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

We have performed in renowned venues such as Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, and the Royal Festival Hall, as well as in more intimate settings like churches and smaller theatres. It is a true privilege to experience the energy of large audiences while also embracing the unique magic and connection that come with performing in more personal, close-knit spaces.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

All the great classical masters such as Vivaldi, Bach, Haydn amongst others, although we also love working and giving voice to new composers and experiencing the thrill of a Premiere! We also like to incorporate light jazz and light classical pieces in our sets as to have a bigger variety of sounds.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

We started performing at College and we have continued ever since in both the U.K. and abroad. Parallel to our work as chamber musicians and soloists , we very much enjoy gigging and thus have a variety of audiences and experiences. We have performed so far in hundreds or weddings, parties and events across the UK.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

We love playing for all sorts of audiences and events and witnessing the effect of music on people. Weddings is one of our favorites , a real a privilege to be part of such a precious and important event.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive 45 minutes before the performance, as we don’t need long to set up. We usually perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best."

Are you happy to perform outside?

We are happy to play outside as long as it is not too cold and always in a covered area as to protect our instruments.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous customers would describe our duo as very atmospheric and giving an event that extra magical feel.
