David Barnes first captured the nation’s hearts when he took part in Hit TV show ‘The Voice UK’. After successfully making it through to Team Ricky (Ricky Wilson), David’s career really has taken a huge leap forward!
Shortly after the show, David soon started to realise his dream and was signed officially to ‘Sonic Boom Records’. Wickenden - Founder of 'Sonic Boom Records said “This signing is very exciting and important to us, we have a very diverse and professional artist in which we are immensely proud of”.
Since completing his contract with 80’s Mania, David has released a Charity Single ‘We Applaud You’ in aid of Covid-19 Urgent Appeal which has been a resounding success. This came about after a family emergency in Feb 2020 where the NHS saved his fiancé and daughters life. David found it fitting to write a song for all the incredible staff that have been working tirelessly to save not only David’s family but everyone that’s been affected by Covid-19. The Charity Single features Colin Thackery (Britains Got Talent Winner 2019) & Christina Johnston (Internationally acclaimed Soprano). The song has had Celebrity backing by the likes of: Ricky Wilson (Kaiser Chiefs), Denise Lewis (Olympian), Cliff Richard, Daniel O'Donnell, Colin Maclachlan (SAS Who Dares Wins), Chesney Hawkes & Jenny Seagrove.
Since the age of 16, David has served a full career in the Army, travelling across the globe to over 38 countries, a deployment in Iraq in 2003 and performing and teaching music throughout; David is now continuing his career as a full-time singer, performer and entertainer, much delight to his ever growing fanbase.
David has sung live at Wembley Stadium, as well as Twickenham Stadium for the Army & Navy Rugby match live on Sky Sports in which 82,000 people attended. He has recorded with Status Quo, sang with Gene Simmonds (Kiss) at Wembley and performed on the same stage as JLS, Jools Holland, Katherine Jenkins, Hayley Westenra and Russell Watson.

The best gig I've ever done has to be 'Wembley Stadium' in 2016. I sang for 90,000 people before the game started and then sang the UK National Anthem on the Centre Spot. Amazing experience.
My most influential musician has to be 'Chris Stapleton'. Yes he's Country but he is ridiculously talented and a genius songwriter.
I started singing at the age of 15 in a local town band. We progressed around the North West and racked up over 150 gigs at a very early age. Since then I've travelled the world to over 41 countries, performing and teaching music along the way.
Some of the venues I've performed at are:
Wembley Stadium
Twickenham Rugby Ground
BBC TV (The Voice UK)
Channel 4 (Alan Titchmarsh Show with Status Quo)
The Bedford Pub in London
Pizza Express Live in Holborn
Blackpool Wintergardens
To name a few....
And it all started with a Christmas present by way of a 'Keyboard' - the rest is history really lol.
I love to play any type of event where the crowd is having a good time! Its all about you guys for me...
I perform any genre you request. I am a multi genre performer and like to play to any crowd.

Yes, I have released 11 singles, all reaching the Top 10 in the UK Country Charts. I am more than happy to include these within my sets on request.
Yes this is something I do regularly. It also means you pay one person for entertainment, rather than a separate DJ.
Yes of course you can. Providing I have enough time to learn the song if I don’t already know it, that is fine.
I would ask for a 2 week notice on this if that’s possible.
All instructions will be taken by the event organiser.
Normal set up times for a regular evening venue:
1830-1900
Performance Times: 2 x 45 Minutes
At times to suit you (Length of sets can also be discussed to your liking).
Yes i’m perfectly happy to perform outside
Clients can request music to be played live up to 2 weeks prior to the event
Powerful, professional and extremely entertaining performer. Interactive and funny with an amazing voice!
I can play for as long as you like in theory.
I normally do 2 x 45 minute sets and sometimes 3 x 45 minute sets. I can then carry the evening on with a DJ type performance, saving you money for employing a DJ as well as me.
