Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

The best gig I've ever done was opening the New Dawn stage at First Light Festival. The stage was on the beach and looked out towards the sea, which was particularly special as many of my songs have lyrics about the sea. It was my first time playing on a big festival stage and I really felt like I'd made it!

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I'm most influenced by James Blunt, I grew up listening to his music with my Mum, and I love singing his songs (especially in my sets!). My favourite band are Muse, I have all of their albums on CD and their music makes me feel ready for anything! I think the greatest song of all time is potentially Blackbird by The Beatles, it's so beautiful!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I had my first piano lesson at age 5, and have been writing songs since my early teens! I had my first performance in 2019, and since then I have performed over 100 times across East Anglia & London.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I love performing anywhere for any type of event! If I had to pick, I'd say a small venue or pub with locals who love live music!

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I normally arrive 45mins before a performance to set up. I normally perform for 2 x 45minutes with a break in the middle. I'm happy to play a little bit longer or shorter, but I've found that 2 x 45s is the sweet spot!

Are you happy to perform outside?

I'm happy to perform outside, so long as a gazebo or other shelter is provided (in order to protect the equipment from rain or overheating in the sun).

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I perform from a set repertoire list only, however I do try to cater this to the event slightly (e.g. Christmas covers in December!)

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients would say my performances are relaxed and easy to listen to!
