Hi! My name is Rich, and I'm a solo guitarist and singer based in Lincoln.
I play well-known songs spanning from the 1970s right up to more modern crowd-pleasers that are sure to get people singing along. From timeless classics by Stevie Wonder, Sting, Earth Wind & Fire, and Ben E King, to modern favourites by Ed Sheeran, The Killers, and Coldplay to the latest hits from Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan.
I tailor my set list to suit the event. So, whether you want upbeat energy or more relaxed background music, my versatility makes my act a great option for pubs, clubs and restaurants as well as weddings, proms and parties or corporate events and functions.
My secret sauce? I elevate the impact of the music through live looping, creating full songs live in front of you by building layers of percussion, guitar, or vocals. No backing tracks - just me and my guitar. Think Ed Sheeran but across a broad range of songs you know and love. Of course, if you want pure acoustic – I can do that too!
I've got years of experience playing in bands and as a solo artist. Over the last few months I’ve played solo at pubs, clubs, private parties/events and festivals. The crowd response has been brilliant. Please do check out showreel and my socials (@richgriffmusic).
I provide all my own gear and am super easy to work with — professional, punctual, and respectful as well as entertaining!
So, if you want great live music but don't want a full band, I'd love to be considered. Let me know if you'd like a full current set list or just to have a chat and see if you think I'd be the right fit for event.

My ideal performance space is around 2.5 metres forward 2.5 metres sideways, although if space is limited I am usually able to squeeze into smaller spaces!
Yes, I'm completely self sufficient. As long as I've got a power socket and enough space then I'll bring everything else including top quality PA system and lighting rig.
Location (of course!) and if there's any specific instructions regarding load in and load out of my equipment.
Yes, I'm happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between my sets. Alternatively, I am happy to allow the client to connect their phone/tablet to my PA system and play their own playlist.
I could talk about the packed pubs, clubs and private parties I used to play at in Leeds and Manchester with an awesome covers band - those were great nights! But that doesn't tell you much about my solo act...I played a beautiful wedding set in the grounds of a stunning country estate and with guests from around the world - that was a real highlight. Or I could give a sportsman's answer and say that you're only ever as good as your last gig...in which case the country pub I played at recently was my favourite as it was packed and the landlady was delighted that my music had brought so many people in to eat, drink and be merry on a cold winter's night.
I've been obsessed with guitar music for as long as I can remember. Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan were my teenage idols...My all time songwriting favourites are Crowded House and Del Amitri. I believe that great songs can be stripped back to just a single voice and an acoustic guitar and still sound great. So, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift are incredible too. And that's why my set list spans the decades!
I've been playing guitar since I was seven. My first gig was at our secondary school prom when I was 14 and from that moment I was bitten by the performing bug. Since then I've played in bands, a duo, more bands and am now solo. I've played at pubs, clubs, restaurants, bars, hotels, corporate events, private parties/celebrations/events and festivals. I love nothing more than seeing people's faces when they are enjoying the music and especially when they sing along and get up on the dance floor!
Nothing beats a private party where all of the guests are there for a celebration (a wedding, engagement, anniversary or birthday) and are up for a good time.
I can set up my equipment within 15-20 minutes after I've loaded into the venue. Once set up, the client can instruct me to play whenever they want to fit around their needs and requirements.
I normally play 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60minute sets. I'm happy to play a bit longer or shorter but I've found these set times suit me and my audiences best.
Of course! I love playing outside. But we all know that whatever the forecasts say, the British weather can be unpredictable so there needs to be some cover/shelter in case the sunshine turns to rain! Also, I'll need a relatively flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area, then I’m definitely happy to compliment the summer vibes with some music.
I tailor my set list to suit the event. So, whether the client wants upbeat energy or more relaxed background music, my versatility makes my act a great option for pubs, clubs and restaurants as well as weddings, proms and parties or corporate events and functions.
I'll supply my set list for the client to review pick & choose their favourite songs or scrub out any songs they absolutely can't stand! I can also learn 2 songs, if required.
Previous clients and attendees at my gigs commonly use phrases such as: It was a fantastic evening. We had a great night. We absolutely loved it - you have such a talent!
