DJ Samson – Specialist in 80s Classics & Party Cheese
If you love proper party cheese, classic dance‑floor favourites, and all the iconic moves, I’m the DJ for you. I specialise in 40s, 50s, 60s, 80s, a bit of 90s, and a handful of modern tracks on request. The reason I focus on these eras is simple — I’m not a club DJ. My style is all about fun, nostalgia, and getting everyone dancing.
If you want something bigger, I can also provide a duo: myself on guitar with an excellent female vocalist. Just ask for details — it’s a larger show, so the pricing reflects the extra performers and production.
I hold £1 million public liability insurance, and all my equipment is PAT tested for safety. Every venue should ask to see these, and I’m always happy to provide them.
My music gear is top‑quality and professionally maintained, so you know you’re getting the best possible sound for your event.

I could list them all, but it would take forever – I have a hard drive on my laptop with over 15,000 songs. If I can’t find a specific track there, I also have an iPad Pro and can use Spotify or YouTube to get the song. It’s very rare that I can’t find the song you need.
require 2 x 13-amp power sockets. If we are in a marquee, these must be waterproof, as any water damage could cause the equipment to fail, and it is very costly to replace.

Clients are welcome to select a set list; however, this requires additional time, and we would need to charge for this extra time due to our other work commitments.
They often say we are professional, dedicated to ensuring everyone has a fantastic time, and highly experienced. Additionally, we always come prepared with a spare iPad, just in case it's needed.
Recent clients include Birch Over Campsite in Derbyshire, near Bakewell. The venue hosts four events annually, and we are always invited back. The crowd is typically around 1,700 on-site, and they have recently won an award for the Best Campsite in Derbyshire.
We perform annually at the ABBA Reveal Tribute Show at Barrington's in Darley Dale, Derbyshire. It’s a fantastic venue, and the landlord and landlady are incredibly welcoming. We’re always honoured to be invited back each year to support such a great venue and an outstanding ABBA tribute act.
We also perform annually at the beautiful Golden Valley Caravan and Campsite. It’s always a pleasure to play at this fantastic venue – the owners and staff are wonderful, and we truly love being part of their events.
We also perform every Christmas at HF Holidays Ltd, Larpool Hall in Whitby, and we absolutely love this venue. The owners are wonderful, the scenery is stunning, and we always enjoy performing for the walkers' Christmas party. Plus, we get to stay the night, which makes it even more special.
