About / Biography

The Garnet Grenades are an energetic 4-piece rock and pop covers band based in the Northampton area. The Garnet Grenades have played over 130 gigs since they formed in 2015. We are 4 enthusiastic musicians who have a passion for playing good music together.

Based in Northamptonshire, the band members are Alison (aka Big Bird) on Main Vocals, Richard (aka Woody) on Lead Guitar, Terry (aka Dart Onion) on Bass, and Tony (aka Mr Beat) on Drums. The Garnet Grenades have played a variety of pubs, clubs, events, festivals and private parties and are happy to travel.

The Garnet Grenades' set list is constantly evolving and consists of a wide mix of all kinds of popular rock tracks that range from right back to the 60s to the present day - the band is always happy to take on suggestions too. Within the set are tracks from Blondie, T-Rex, Stereophonics, Tom Petty, Ocean Colour Scene, Deacon Blue, The Knack, Amy MacDonald, Snow Patrol, Joan Armatrading, Pink, The Police, George Ezra, Green Day, Rolling Stones, Elle King, Pulp, Mud and AC/DC (for appropriate audiences) and many others proving the wide range of influences in the band.

All band members have a wealth of experience, having all performed in other successful local bands, playing covers from the last 5 decades, in pubs, clubs, at festivals and functions. This line-up has been together for the last 4 years and already has a growing and very loyal following. The band is flexible, very enthusiastic, well-organised and able to play to any type of audience.
