Having recently returned to the UK after 6 years living in Paris and performing at concerts, weddings, restaurants, functions and marriage proposals across the city, Timothy is bringing that rich cultural experience back to the UK, offering beautiful musical soundtracks for your event.
With his extensive varied repertoire of music from South America, Spain, as well as Chansons françaises and a soupçon of Pop and Jazz for solo guitar, Timothy Tate has more than twenty years experience performing at state, corporate and private events and functions.
Timothy Tate offers a selection of music from the refined and subtle Classical, through the lively and rhythmic to the sublime and virtuosic; ideal for giving an unforgettable musical ambiance to your event.
Suitable for all ages and audiences, the choice of repertoire can be adjusted to suit every occasion.
Timothy has performed at over 150 weddings and civil ceremonies throughout the UK and Europe; from elopements with just the couple to grand wedding galas with hundreds of guests.
With 25 years playing experience, Timothy has studied with some of the top guitarists in the Classical guitar world and has developed a tone and musicianship which has set him out from the crowd.
The Classical Guitar proves a delicate, beautiful and versatile instrument which is able to accompany itself and perform music from across all musical genres, making the classical guitar the perfect choice for the live soundtracking of your wedding.
Timothy can perform one or several pieces at various points during your ceremony, from the arrival of your guests to playing you out as you leave. These can include special requests of your favourite song or piece, or you can just choose music from Timothy's extensive repertoire.
In addition to the ceremony, many couples ask Timothy to provide ambiance during the reception or cocktail following the ceremony, bridging with the music the two parts of the day. Alternatively, you may prefer music during your meal, or as an orginal alternative for music for a first dance.
This occasion is yours, and as such you can decide where, when what music you want during the day. With his vast experience of playing at weddings of all genres and sizes Timothy is able to answer your queries or advise you on the various options. He also brings all his own self contained amplification and equipment, suitable for any sized event. He is based in Cardiff but will consider weddings nationwide and internationally.
