We usually just require access to 13a power, a safe performance space, and enough room for the full band setup. We also ask for a changing room where possible, plus refreshments and hot meals for the band at longer events.
We can provide full professional PA and lighting equipment for most events, ensuring everything sounds and looks great from start to finish. If a venue already has a house system, we’re also happy to work with that and integrate our setup seamlessly
We also offer premium production options, including upgraded sound systems, advanced lighting setups, and full stage, dancefloors, room lighting and much more, to really elevate the experience and create a high-impact live show atmosphere.
We usually just need a few key details about the venue: access times for load-in/load-out, stage or performance space dimensions, available power supply, parking/load-in arrangements, and whether there are any sound limiters or restrictions. It’s also helpful to know if the venue provides a house PA/lighting system or if we’re supplying full production ourselves
We can absolutely provide a curated Spotify/DJ-style playlist service before we start and between our live sets to keep the energy flowing all night. We tailor the music to suit the vibe of your event, and can work with your preferences or must-play tracks to make sure the atmosphere stays consistent from start to finish.
For us, it’s hard to beat those packed dance floors singing every word back to the band. But playing stunning venues with amazing energy always makes it extra special. Every gig has its own magic

Velvet Stars Collective started from a shared love of live music and putting on unforgettable shows. What began as musicians playing local gigs and private events quickly grew into a full party band bringing big energy, huge vocals and packed dance floors to weddings, parties and events .
We love any event where people are ready to dance, sing and have an amazing time. But weddings and big party celebrations are always extra special — there’s nothing better than a packed dance floor and everyone singing along together

Absolutely, clients have a big say . We have a tried-and-tested repertoire that guarantees a full dance floor, but we always work with you to tailor the setlist to your event. We’re happy to take must-play songs, do-not-play lists, and preferences in advance, and we’ll shape our sets on the night based on the crowd and atmosphere to keep the energy exactly where it needs to be. We only ask for a certain level of flexibility from our clients, so we’re able to read the room and work the crowd in the best possible way, creating the ultimate live experience.
