"Having seen Gavin play at a party at a local cricket club I booked him to play at a 60th birthday party. He was very easy to deal with, turned up in plenty of time to set up, and gave us a great evening. I asked him to start off with background music while we ate, then to get everybody dancing. He got it exactly right and was a major part of us having a really good night. He is also a very pleasant person and seems to enjoy the fact that we all enjoyed his performance. Very happy to recommend him."

"Excellent entertainment, the playlist was amazing everyone loved the songs. The dance floor was packed the whole time Steve was playing, he got everyone involved as well. "Modern Strings did a fantastic job at our wedding. I asked for a string trio. They followed my instructions to the letter and were very cooperative during the event and in the run up to it. They brilliantly played additional pieces of music that were not on their repertoire. They also beautifully played a mixture of classical and popular songs. All guests commented how well they played and what a fantastic idea it was to have a live trio at our wedding. The trio were smiley and extremely friendly and reliable on our wedding day. I would recommend their services to my best of friends and family and would employ their services again should I have another event. Very well done and thank you for making our special day even more special. "

"This July I had the joy of collaborating with Lewis Kingsley Peart on a recital of arias and songs at The Swiss Church, Covent Garden. The creative process with Lewis was a dream, and he is not only an incredibly skilled pianist but an open, aware, and gifted collaborator, too. The programme was heavy with quite challenging contemporary repertoire which he was able to learn under huge time constraints (he came to my rescue when I lost my pianist just a month before the recital!). He interpreted the Rorem and the Previn with as much ease and effortlessness as the Strauss and Weber. The Swiss Church is a very particular space to play in because of the immense reverberation, but Lewis took this in complete stride and adjusted each piece to fit the context of our performance space so sensitively. Lewis is professional, well prepared, calm, and efficient. He is an excellent communicator, musically and otherwise! He has a true gift, and though I did not know Lewis before this, I greatly look forward to working with him again in future!"
