Review Centre: Accompanists

"Gareth helped us achieve a dream. We had discovered a Victorian ancestor had had quite a bit of music published, which we had been able to copy, but not being musicians, we didn't know what to do next. I wanted to have the music recorded as an Xmas present for my husband and found Gareth's details on line. I went to him in early December so it didn't leave much time, but he still managed to learn and record one of the pieces for Colin for Christmas Day, and since then he has recorded all of the music on two CDs for us. From the start he was so helpful and accommodating - meeting with me to look at the music, giving a clear time-scale and cost, and then presenting us with two very professional CDs. His playing is just beautiful, and he explained that as some pieces were songs, he'd had to record the main melody and then dub in the soloist's part on top (that's a non-musical explanation of what I understood Gareth to say!) He went to such lengths to make everything perfect, keeping us regularly informed of how things were going, and his costs were very reasonable for the amount of work involved. If we find any more music, we'll certainly ask him again."

"It went perfectly thank you, I had the most amazing day! I cannot thank Kit enough, it was just beautiful. Just one thing we forgot and feel terrible about was he was not mentioned on the grooms speech when he should have been, and also we must have been so tied up at the end of the day with guests that we hardly had a chance to thank him and speak with him. But please do let him know that he was mentioned alot and he done a fantastic job - highly recommended!"

Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed listening to him. He is a great musician - smartly dressed and has a quiet professional manner. "Gareth accompanied our daughter for her recorder exam. He came and practiced with her the night before. She was anxious but he was lovely and set her at ease straight away. He spent longer with her than the agreed hour and talked her through the whole process. After the exam she came out with a big smile on her face which was in no small part due to her feeling prepared and supported by Gareth. We were very happy and grateful for his approach with her. We're hoping she can have piano lessons with him in the not too distant future."

"I love the saxophone so when my husband booked Lynden as a surprise for my 50th Birthday Party I was overjoyed…. When Lynden arrived he introduced himself & spent a few minutes finding out what style I liked, if I have any favourite songs. He was an amazing attribute to our evening & made it so special & personal to me, it will definitely be a night to remember…. Thank you x "
