Review Centre: Solo Musicians

"My event was a private engagement proposal at a venue which required discretion to keep everything a top secret. I discussed at length with Nigel beforehand what my requirements were and he sent a huge list of songs he could play from memory which really helped me select a playlist to ensure the evening was fun yet intimate! We had discussions of some songs which were fundamental to the evening, such as the entrance/proposal song itself and Nigel was so accommodating to my needs, even when I changed and added songs over the coming weeks from his repertoire. There were some songs not listed which I wanted adding but luckily Nigel admitted he also knew how to play them. The evening itself ran beautifully, Nigel blended well with the surroundings (not easy to mix roses with a Ferrari F40) but he managed it. Songs were played brilliantly, and he even slipped in a couple of extra songs to suit the mood. I’d recommend asking him to play The Interstellar Theme by Hans Zimmer :) Thanks Nigel, we had a great evening, and fortunately Chloe said YES! "

"Having booked Danny to perform on several occasions, from the intimacy of a house gig to playing at a £15M entertainment venue, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone wishing to book him to play for them. A great vocalist, guitarist and songwriter, Danny has an incredibly friendly and humorous persona that is appreciated by everyone that sees him. From her incredible vocals, song choices to outfit changes too. Very professional & friendly. Our venue was packed & everyone appreciated how great she was. "Jeremy Sassoon played at The Unsung Hero Awards 2018 on Friday the 23rd of February to an impressed audience. He was not only a great musician, who I had total faith in, but a very friendly and easy person to work with. He communicated with me leading up to the event and on the night itself he was prompt and set-up quickly. Jeremy played not only his two allocated sets, but extra songs when we had projector issues - it was not an issue for him! As soon as Jeremy started to play the room took on a new feel; warmer and more intimate. The MC of the night was so surprised to hear Jeremy sing that he mistook his voice for a recording - he is that professional sounding. My personal highlight of the night had to be when Jeremy was playing Hey Jude. He had the audience singling along and waving their arms in the air. He made sure to interact with the audience in a way that was personal, but not distracting. Jeremy uses his talent to make people feel at ease and doesn't overly-focus on himself - a rare quality in a person, as well as a performer. Jeremy made sure to inform us when he was leaving and I had a lovely chat with him post-performance. He thanked myself and my colleague for being equally easy to work with and gave up tips on what sorts of musical accompaniments would work well in the future. Would we hire Jeremy again? In a heartbeat. Only next time we hope to be able to have some of those musical accompaniments to enhance what was already a stellar performance, which made our event feel that little bit extra fantastic! "

"Alan played at our wedding in September this year and was absolutely incredible. We had many guests complimenting the tunes he played, there was such a great selection and variety that were all perfect for our big day. Alan was also vary flexible with any changes we made to timings and songs for the day and we found him very attentive and fast to reply when communicating, which is very reassuring when planning such a large and important event. We highly recommend booking Alan for your event if you are looking for a highly professional and highly skilled guitarist with a huge range of songs to play.
