"Modern Strings did a fantastic job at our wedding. I asked for a string trio. They followed my instructions to the letter and were very cooperative during the event and in the run up to it. They brilliantly played additional pieces of music that were not on their repertoire. They also beautifully played a mixture of classical and popular songs. All guests commented how well they played and what a fantastic idea it was to have a live trio at our wedding. The trio were smiley and extremely friendly and reliable on our wedding day. I would recommend their services to my best of friends and family and would employ their services again should I have another event. Very well done and thank you for making our special day even more special. "

"Lee was extremely professional and played beautifully for our wedding ceremony, drinks reception, and wedding breakfast! The communication beforehand was very good, and we worked out when he would be playing and when I would need music played via my iPad. I had asked him to play music from movies, and his selections were spot on. He was also very flexible with the three specific songs I requested for the various parts of the ceremony. Something happened during the processional and the bride's entrance where the songs didn't change as planned; however, I don't blame this on Lee, as the venue had him hidden around a corner where he couldn't see the people coming in. I think if we had touched base right before the ceremony we could have clarified things so that is the only thing that I would recommend for next time. Otherwise, absolutely loved Lee!"

"Emma has always been an inspiration to me musically and is someone with so much talent, integrity, patience and kindness. When she sang at my wedding in August 2013, with Chris, I was overwhelmed with how amazing they sounded and how perfectly their set fit with our event. Our song requests were performed AMAZINGLY and I really couldn't have asked for anything more. If anyone is thinking about hiring Emma for an event, or as a coach, I can definitely say she will be worth your money!"

"I first came across Louise playing at an event I went to last year & was blown away by her repertoire on the harp, the range of music she played from classical pieces right through to modern day music was quite unbelievable & all played so serenely. I immediately contacted her as soon as we had our venue booked as I couldn’t imagine our wedding without her presence & that’s exactly how it was on our day, the ambience that she sets with her harp makes the whole thing quite magical & it was commented on by many of our guests. Louise is so professional, warm & reliable at keeping in contact at various points so gives you the confidence that you can get on with arranging other parts of the wedding as you know she’s got everything in hand, I would highly recommend her!"

"Tom has just performed an amazingly, incredible performance on Friday 11th October 2024 to raise money for my charity Planting for Hope Uganda (PfHU). He is an exceptional performer as not only is he a brilliant guitarist and a singer but also he interacts with the audience in such an entertaining and amusing way. The enjoyment throughout the evening was completely down to Tom and I received compliments all evening and for the days after. An incredibly outstanding performer. "Sophie played at our restaurant on New Year's eve and she was really great. The music was great and helped to provide a very good atmosphere for our customers. Feedback from all our customers was good and it was a great evening for all. I would highly recommend Sophie for anyone looking for a singer and guitarist for a social event/venue. "

"We booked Davey Wilson's duo option for our wedding and we were absolutely delighted with them. We chose a mix of live music and DJ set which worked perfectly. They played from 8pm until midnight, a live set followed by DJ. Our first dance was played live which was great. A range of instruments were used which gave a really big sound and got everyone dancing all through the night. It really sounded like there was a full band playing, but of course a full band would have been much more expensive. The boys themselves were total gentlemen and a delight to have at the wedding. They were great at communicating beforehand which removed any stress. I suggested some songs but needn't have really as they know what they're doing and played all the hits. "

"Hiring the Gospel Choir for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made! We first saw them at a wedding fair and were blown away, we emailed for a quote thinking there was no way they would be within our budget but we couldn't believe how reasonable they are and instantly booked. From start to finish Laura was super helpful and responsive with emails, nothing was asking too much and they were happy to do anything we asked, she made the whole process really easy and stress free. On the day our guests were so shocked (in a good way!) when they walked into the venue to them performing. We had comments all day about them and are still getting people now texting us about how amazing they were. People were literally gasping at some of their vocals and people were in tears. The whole choir were also super friendly and smiley, I was petrified stood at the bottom of the aisle but each time I glanced over at them I was given the biggest smile and it really put me at ease. If anybody's ever debating to book please take my word for it that they will be, by far, the best decision you make. "
