Review Centre: Singing Guitarists

"I hired James to perform at a family garden party with about 70 guests. We spoke on the telephone prior to the party and he took details of what the occasion was about and various other pieces of information which gave him a good feel for the event before it happened. He turned up precisely on time and set his equipment up before guests arrived. He was dressed in contemporary style and looked every part the rock star. He then, in the most inspired manner, welcomed my guests and introduced himself over the microphone. I am a musician and I can therefore categorically say that James is a mucisian of the highest talent. It was a sunny day and it was hot. His first set lasted 2 hours by which time he had enthralled all my guests with his skill on guitar, his profound knowledge of pedals and loops, his excellent singing voice and range but, above all, his personality which came over like a tsunami of warmth and personality. James is an absolute dude and his contribution to my garden party was immense. He is a considerate and caring person and the complete professional. He looks the part and is the part and my guests warmed to him, asked for requests and sang along. Organising a large party is a lot of work, but James took much of the worry of my shoulders by his microphone manner and the amazing quality of his performance. "Rob was simply fantastic and made a massive contribution to our day. You instantly get the sense that Rob is an experienced musician and a fantastic guitarist and singer. As a guitarist myself I was a little envious to hear that guitar is Rob's secondary instrument with his main instrument being the drums... obviously Rob is a serious talent! Rob was a true professional; arrived early, quickly set up and used his own judgment to play where and when was appropriate for the setting/ceremony. Rob also went out of his way to learn an instrumental rendition of Jose Gonzalez's 'Heartbeats' for my wife's entrance which couldn't have been better. All in all, we can't recommend Rob enough - 10/10."

"Rob's performances were absolutely fantastic. We had so many compliments on his voice and music choices. One of the most important parts of my day was the aisle song and his performance of it couldn't have been more perfect. His songs and voice set the romantic and at times emotional tone of the day. "Mark was excellent; we left him to decide what to play and when and he judged it perfectly, keeping a low profile to begin with while people mingled and chatted then gradually stepping up the pace. When he was in full swing the everyone was up dancing and singing and it was an absolute riot. Most of our guests came to us and asked how we found him and said how the thoroughly enjoyed the music. Some said best party ever - we were absolutely thrilled and enjoyed ourselves tremendously."

"Chris played for our wedding and we would highly recommend him. He helped us create a lively, but not dominating atmosphere, and was extremely friendly and helpful. His playlist suited our "do", but he was also open to the odd request from our guests.He was very accommodating beforehand as well, which helps a lot when organizing an event. Don't hesitate to book him!"

"Laura is an inspiring musician who I was fortunate to meet in Hertford. At the Mayoral civic dinner, she played beautifully and was engaging and a fantastic introduction to the evening. Her choice of songs that chose to play during the evening added ambience and gave a relaxed feeling to the event. She has a lovely voice and played flawlessly. We are so privileged to have such a talented singer-songwriter in our local area. I had a lot of comments from many guests, and I hope that they took advantage of the time she was there to take her details for future local events. I wish her great success in the future and hope to see her at other musical events."

"Jojo was an excellent artist - a great musician with a great voice. He was able to ‘read the room’ in terms of song choice and I couldn’t have asked for more. Not only that, he was a great guy too and I would not hesitate to book him again."
