Review Centre: 1920s, 30s & 40s Style Bands

"The Debonairs were absolutely fantastic! We asked them to step in at the very last minute leading up to our wedding, the process for booking them was quick and simple and they provided all the necessary paperwork for us to hand over to the venue. Performance wise they did a great job at getting the crowd warmed up. They had a challenge with children running around being a bit of a distraction but they were able to keep both the children and adults entertained without affecting their show. They played a diverse mix of classic fifties swing and modern tracks with a swing influence added to them. Myself, my wife and all the guests were thoroughly impressed with the show, anybody who wasn't on the dance floor was sat right next to it so that they could enjoy the music. I can't recommend this band enough. A fantastic act that added to an already fantastic day!"

"I have only positive feedback for you guys and for Kate and accompanist. Everything that we arranged went to plan and the duo on the day were absolutely brilliant. They are both a great talent. Many people commented how much they enjoyed Kate and Kristian and some musician friends were commenting on how amazing Kristians guitar playing was. All in all it was a great success!"

"We just wanted to say an enormous THANK YOU to you and Alex for the fantastic set you did on Saturday at Ben’s 40’s Themed 40th Birthday Party! You were so friendly and helpful that many of the guests assumed you were friends of Ben’s. Well you are now! Your voices and Alex’s guitar playing were really lovely and the choice of songs was spot on. I really appreciated the way you took charge of any announcements and navigated the events during the evening without ever taking over, so that it took away any stress from us. Thanks also for enabling Izzy to use the backing tracks so that she could sing some special songs for Ben .You both really helped to make the evening such an enjoyable event for all involved. Lots of people commented on the music and wanted to know who you were, and the staff at the venue said how much they had enjoyed the music and the atmosphere it created. I know Ben will be in touch with you soon, but once again thank you both so much again for helping to make the event ‘go with a swing’ so that we all had a really lovely evening. "Emily's voice is stunning and she is a natural and beautiful performer. She created a warm, classy and laid back environment during our wedding reception entrance drinks. Her performance helped to create an intimate reception and every guest commented in her exquisite voice. She was very professional and lovely to deal with. We are so glad we chose her!"

"I recently stood in on double bass for the Jelly Roll Jazz Band at a wedding afternoon reception. Michael and Dan are great guys to work with and fabulous musicians. A perfect mix of songs for the occasion delivered fully acoustically. The newly weds, their family and guests were delighted. The father of the bride thanked us in a short speech and the bride said “you have made my day”. I can highly recommend Jelly Roll for future events."

"All my friends and family that attended my 30th birthday thought the band sounded and looked fabulous. By the end of the night everyone was up dancing which looked fab as we were all dressed in 1920's attire with the band selecting songs inline with our theme."

"We booked Stereo Jazz Collective for a party to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday, our son’s 21st and both of our sons’ graduations, so lots to celebrate. The evening went very well and the Stereo-Sound Trio definitely made the party extra special. They were professional but relaxed which made it very easy to welcome them into our home. Their style of music went down very well with everyone, young and a bit older! They were happy to do any requests that we might have and contacted us in advance to ask. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you very much."

"Careful thought was taken in finding the right band and genre of music that would compliment our formal charity dinner held at Britannia Royal Naval College in October 2013. The band provided a superb tailored set of soft jazz and virtuoso performances which delighted the guests. The band delivered. A rich performance, utilising the natural acoustic qualities of the quarterdeck for the reception was followed, after dinner, with a cosy intimate set in the Senior Gunroom bar. The band delivered. They were simply outstanding, producing exactly what was required to make this special event so memorable. I can not recommend them highly enough!"
