Review Centre: Solo Musicians

"I hired Rob to accompany me on piano for a gig at The Park Plaza Hotel Westminster. The gig was 3 x 40 min sets of background jazz at a cocktail bar. Rob immediately knew all the repertoire and we met for the first time for a quick rehearsal just a day before the gig. I was instantly brought to ease when I met him, his attitude was fantastic and he is a brilliant pianist with tons of experience. Another great thing is he has a extensive repertoire and can easily adapt to any changes you may have throughout the gigs. I will definitely hire him again for any future gigs. Thanks Rob !"

"Paul was fantastic and a brilliant surprise for a 60th Birthday party. He was really easy to communicate with beforehand and kindly learned some of the birthday girls favourite songs for the big day. We were up and dancing the minute he started and I don't think any of the party sat down from the moment he arrived. Everyone at the party was raving about the music the day after.... "Marcus made my birthday party extra special with his charm, good humour and of course his singing. From the moment I booked him nothing was too much trouble. He also liaised with a dancer I had booked independently so they worked out timings for the evening perfectly. His music was enjoyed by young and old and the evening was a great success. Thank you."

"Just seen Jon live at a local event, really great set. Lots of classics but also some really cool interpretations of 90’s dance classics, not what I was expecting. Talented singer and guitarist and nice guy all round. Will be looking out for him….very good ( and as a Scouser it pains me to give a Manc credit ?) No, seriously, great musician and will see him again in the future ?"

"Julia was booked for this most important role at this high profile charity ball. She came dressed in a smart pipers uniform with a beautiful set of bagpipes and played very professionally at various times during the evening: whilst guests arrived, inside during the dinner and most importantly piped in the haggis! She contributed tremendously to the atmosphere of the evening and was very co-operative in the choice of music and greatly applauded. Just what one would expect from a bagpiper. She has performed for us since at various family gatherings. I would highly recommend Julia as a solo bagpiper."

"I couldn't recommend Daniel highly enough! He arrived promptly, set up discreetly and timed his playing to perfection. He played a combination of guitar and piano with his excellent vocals. His set comprised of both songs he had written personally, music to fit the theme of the party (which he sought our advice on beforehand) and requests from the guests. Everyone thought the music really helped to make the party a great success. On top of this, Dan is just a really nice guy and it was pleasure to have him there."

"I was looking for a violinist to play a selection of music at the ceremony of my daughter’s wedding, but the processional and recessional pieces were modern. Tamilla was able to adapt these pieces as well as playing a lovely selection before and after the ceremony and at the drinks reception. Many of the guests, including professional musicians, commented on how good her music was, and she was very easy to communicate with in order to make the arrangements, even though I had not previously met her."
