Review Centre: Pianists (Jazz)

"Jeremy Sassoon played at The Unsung Hero Awards 2018 on Friday the 23rd of February to an impressed audience. He was not only a great musician, who I had total faith in, but a very friendly and easy person to work with. He communicated with me leading up to the event and on the night itself he was prompt and set-up quickly. Jeremy played not only his two allocated sets, but extra songs when we had projector issues - it was not an issue for him! As soon as Jeremy started to play the room took on a new feel; warmer and more intimate. The MC of the night was so surprised to hear Jeremy sing that he mistook his voice for a recording - he is that professional sounding. My personal highlight of the night had to be when Jeremy was playing Hey Jude. He had the audience singling along and waving their arms in the air. He made sure to interact with the audience in a way that was personal, but not distracting. Jeremy uses his talent to make people feel at ease and doesn't overly-focus on himself - a rare quality in a person, as well as a performer. Jeremy made sure to inform us when he was leaving and I had a lovely chat with him post-performance. He thanked myself and my colleague for being equally easy to work with and gave up tips on what sorts of musical accompaniments would work well in the future. Would we hire Jeremy again? In a heartbeat. Only next time we hope to be able to have some of those musical accompaniments to enhance what was already a stellar performance, which made our event feel that little bit extra fantastic! "

"What a find Alan is, he is polite, well dressed and above all talented. With the exception of one request from us we left him to play his choice of music based on the room and he did a fantastic job. Music was balanced, entertaining and never over powered the conversation. Alan even managed to find time to play some queen tunes at the end of the evening for a guest who used to be a Freddie tribute singer. Thanks once again for helping to make our evening so special, I would whole heartedly recommend you and will happily use you again should the opportunity arise. Regards, Kerry & Stewart. "

"Laura was an absolute delight to deal with when we were making arrangements for our big day. On the day she arrived with plenty of time, got herself set up without issue and played beautifully throughout the guests' arrival and into the ceremony. The bride was (predictably!) very late and Laura played on without any fuss, well past the time we had actually booked her for which really was above and beyond! We are so grateful to Laura for making our wedding day absolutely perfect! We cannot recommend her highly enough!"

He really made us feel comfortable with his friendly and very organised set up even letting us know everything is sorted and planned in advance giving us less to worry about. "Matt is fantastic and we couldn't imagine our wedding day without him. We booked Piano Matt for our wedding on 1st August and from the initial quote all the way through to even after the day, he has just been incredible. Such a great guy, lovely to be around, so friendly and so supportive of our crazy music taste! We gave Matt a huge list of songs we would like to be played, alongside the important ones for the ceremony and it was such a diverse mix but nothing was too much trouble and Matt was amazing and so talented. It was so lovely hearing so many of our favourite songs that we have never heard in the piano version, so many of our guests commented on how brilliant he was! He even checked in with us about what would be suitable for him to wear, as well as offering a helping hand on the day, he really went above and beyond and helped in creating our perfect wedding day! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a musician for any event! Thank you so much again Matt, I hope we get the pleasure of listening to you play again sometime"

"We had the pleasure of having Jam Duo perform all day at our wedding ; they created the perfect mood through out the day and the most beautiful music for our ceremony including the entrance music for myself, the bride and my bridesmaids. The booking process was nice and easy, I completed a form with everything needed for the day and selected the songs I wished to be played. Highly recommend these two for any occasion especially a wedding! Thank you so much."
