Review Centre: Solo Musicians

"I was really pleased to find Sharon on Last Minute Musicians as I had been let down by others (not through LMM). She lived locally and could make the date at quite short notice. Sharon provided background music for our celebration meal and after-dinner conversations. It was just right - good choice of music and sympathetically played. Many enquired afterwards as to how we had made contact and expressed their appreciation of how she added to the sense of occasion. Several who were professional musicians in their own right commented on her ability and musicianship! Many thanks to Sharon for sharing the evening with us."

"Wow! First of all The Victory Rose was here early, always a great relief when hosting an event, and she arrived with a huge smile. That smile soon spread to everyone who attended as she sang a wonderful selection of 1940's tunes. Her connection with the audience was brilliant, especially when she found someone who had lived through the war (that was a really special moment). As the afternoon went on and people got into the party mood, The Victory Rose showed what fabulous range she has and pulled out some real party favourites. We can't recommend The Victory Rose highly enough, a wonderful performer and a really lovely lady to go with it."

"Mads played the saxophone for the drinks reception at our wedding. She was absolutely perfect. Our instructions were for her to set the vibe for the evening with Ibiza classics. All of our guests absolutely loved it. The entire place was rocking, Mads moved around the room with great stage presence and she 100% got everyone hyped for the wedding reception. Without doubt would recommend her 100%."

"Thank you so much toChristopher Ellington who performed at my birthday party on the 19th November 2016. Such a wonderful performer and great singer. He performed all of the songs I requested and nothing was too much trouble. By the end of the night everyone was up dancing and I received many compliments about Christopher Ellington. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him for another event – he really was brilliant! "

"Speaking to Kerry before we booked him on our big day, we were really specific…. Probably the most specific with any supplier as we wanted to have a certain sound and feel for our Wedding. Not only was Kerry more than happy to accommodate our stylistic preferences, he was even able to give some brilliant suggestions, and at short notice, when we compiled a small playlist of the songs to be played during the guests arrival, during the Wedding reception ceremony and post ceremony celebrations; Kerry and the team were able to take upon these song requests, learn these, actually take on board the tempo and the tune, the acoustics, and to play from different youtube videos and make it into their own Guests were really able to take some fantastic pictures and stories on their Instagram, things they really wanted to share and impress upon their friends and online followers shows how much how much of a great day and experience they had and Kerry Williams and the Constellation Jazz team were really able to set the scene. Constellation Jazz were the first ones there to take the guests through the journey before we got married and also keep them entertained straight after we got married whilst we were taking our photos as people were catching up, and keeping them entertained up until the moment they entered for the Wedding reception breakfast.. So big round of applause from us, congratulations once again and thank you so much and we would be able to recommend you to anyone for those that want a Saxophonist or a band to play at a Wedding or any other function so Kerry and the Constellation Jazz team thank you! "

"I can’t say enough good things about Andy Marr, he fitted in well to the environment and from his opening number to his last put his whole self into it. Great set list not a bad song. He is a very talented musician and singer, polite and professionals I would highly recommend him ."

"We had Will play at our wedding on 23rd September 2022 as we love the looped guitar sound. Will had a varied repertoire and boy did we make the right choice. He was amazing and all our guest without exception absolutely loved him. He has an amazing range of songs from classic to rock and will taylor his play list to whatever choices you choose. 100% thoroughly recommend him and hope we will be able to find somewhere where we can see and listen to him again."

"It was a pleasure to have Chris play on our wedding day, first welcoming guests with bagpipes and then playing low whistle during the ceremony. Chris is an excellent musician - the music was beautiful and made our big day even more special! By having multiple instruments in his repertoire, we were able to pick the perfect music for each part of the day. Throughout the planning process, Chris made great suggestions for pieces of music to play and was very flexible and accommodating. "

"I came in for a sensible drink and a chat and instead got Tom, who clearly woke up and chose confidence. He sings like he’s been doing this since before my knees started clicking - somehow he managed to play songs I know and ones I’d forgotten about entirely. He’s loud enough to be impressive, charming enough that I forgave him for having to turn my hearing aids down. Excellent banter, questionable sock choice (I say this with love), and the audacity to make a room full of old gits feel like we might still “have it.” Would I watch Tom again? Absobloodylutely."
